1. Spiderhunt

There’s nothing worse than seeing a spider one minute, turning around and not seeing it the next minute! We totally sympathize with Schmidt when he starts freaking out. We wouldn’t say we would go so far as to have a spider hunt. But we wouldn’t, not have a spider hunt either! When it comes to misunderstandings, the one between Jess, Nick and CeCe , cracks us up. It’s a case of too many things happening at once. We all know awkwardness causes people to ramble and it worked out in Jess’ favor when CeCe admits who she likes.

2. Menzies

Friendship comes in all shapes and sizes. It takes a really strong friendship to be able to point out each other’s faults! Jess needs to get a job, so to encourage her, Schmidt shuts off the hot water in the loft. We love his level of pettiness while still trying his best to encourage her to look for something. Nick finds out he has anger issues and tries to become a calmer person. Little did he know he would accomplish this in the arms of a man while floating in a pool. This is not the weirdest thing we’ve ever seen on the show!

3. Background Check

Would you trust your friends to help you pass a background check? Winston certainly does, when he asks for their help to pass the home inspection portion of his background check. Things take a turn for the wild side when Jess announces there is drugs in the apartment. Cue everyone freaking out which causes us to laugh-cry, during this scene in one of our favorite New Girl Episodes. We don’t know what’s worse, trying to hide the drugs or how hard it is for them to get rid of the drugs. All in all, Winston’s friends do the best they can under the circumstances, proving their loyalty to him.

4. Dice

If you ever tried a dating app, you know all too well how that can turn out. It’s either good or bad, there is no in between. In this episode, Jess and Schmidt learn about a new dating app and you can only imagine how that turns out for them. Schmidt might make it work, but Jess is, well Jess. In comparison to that dice-y (see what we did there) situation, CeCe , Nick, Coach and Winston find themselves in a situation of their own. They accidentally, on purpose show up to a police party completely stoned! We can’t help but laugh at the antics during this scene.

5. Dance

Ahhh school dances, where everyone dresses up to go to them but no one actually dances. Maybe, that was just our school! Either way, in one of the more memorable New Girl Episodes, we see the cast reliving their school dance days vicariously through kids at Jess’ job. Jess is attempting to throw a school dance in order to get over her break up. Some of us, cut or dye our hair after a breakup and others throw themselves into a project. Jess is obviously in the latter category. With all the shenanigans happening in this episode, it’s no wonder why it will cheer you up.

6. Pepperwood

You know you have great friends when you suggest a completely outrageous plan and they go along with it! You can count on the guys in New Girl to do just that. In this episode, Nick thinks that one of Jess’ students is a murderer and goes undercover as Julius Pepperwood. They sneak to his house in the middle of the night and stake the place out. After seeing him dump a duffel bag with a “body”, they come back again the next day to investigate. Turns out, he’s not a murderer, just a sugar baby with an interesting sex life! Can we say awkward?

7. Cooler

Guys and girls can be just friends, up until they take their relationship to the next level. This is one of the New Girl Episodes you have been waiting for; the first kiss! In this funny episode, the guys go out trying to pick up girls, purposely leaving Jess at home. We all know that every sound makes you extra jumpy, when you’re in a place by yourself. Jess calls everyone to come to her rescue and they all end up playing True American. After the build up of suspense throughout the episode, we finally see Nick and Jess kiss! Call us a romantic, but we’re so happy that this finally happened.

8. Clean Break

We are all for, on and off again relationships, but we personally don’t want to be in one. However, if you’ve watched New Girl from the beginning, you know what a turning point this episode is! We end up losing Coach, as he moves out of the loft. None of the cast are good with emotions, but they try to make it a “clean break”. This ends up back firing in the best way possible because the cast remembers some of the good times. During all of this, Schmidt proposes to CeCe and she FINALLY accepts! Not too bad, for a season finale and for keeping us in suspense for next season.

9. Elaine’s Big Day

You get a little of everything with this funny New Girl episode. Love, pranks, celebrity appearances and even badgers. Yes that’s right, a badger. At the end of season two, we have half the cast trying to sabotage CeCe’s wedding and the other half trying to save it. Long story short, CeCe doesn’t marry the groom, literally calling off the wedding at the very last moment. Her groom runs off with Taylor Swift’s character. Nick and Jess decide to not end their own relationship. With so much going on, we almost forget to mention the badger getting stuck in the air vent and promptly biting Winston when he comes after him. There’s a lot of laughs and drama in this thirty minute episode.

10. Normal

Everyone’s definition of normal is different. To some it means fancy parties at really nice mansions and to others it means the elevator doesn’t pass inspection. We’re slightly worried about that! However, in this hilarious New Girl Episode, we see how the game “True American” starts. It’s Jessell’s (Jess and Russell) first fight and Nick’s horrible app idea.
