Finals season is upon us which means lots of long and late nights full of studying to get that A! With all of that studying to ace that test, you definitely need a short little study break. Here are 10 things you need for your next study break!
1. Snacks and Candy
We can all agree that it is super hard to concentrate while your stomach is rumbling and demanding to be fed. Motivate yourself and keep that brain fueled with lots of snacks and candy! Keep it fresh and energizing as you might have a late night ahead of you. Our favorites around here are any kind of fruits or quick snack packs.
A little study hack is to place candies or individual snacks on your textbook to reward yourself for reading over your notes. These will keep you going in your studies and will be a great tasty break in all of that hard work!
2. Face Mask
A little self-care never hurt anybody! While you are taking a break from the books, try a little something to rejuvenate that tired skin so you will look fresh and awake at your test in the AM!
A short little sheet mask or a homemade mask will do the trick in getting you prepped and pretty as you get prepped and ready for those exams! This is something that you can do even after your study break so that you can keep reading and getting that education!
3. Essential Oils
Finals and tests can be super stressful. There is so much to do and so much to turn in; it is absolutely exhausting and stressful. To help combat that stress and test anxiety that you might be feeling, try diffusing some oils or rolling them on your skin.
To help your memory, peppermint can help you as well as any headaches that you might be getting from all of that studying. Try some orange to create an energetic space that is fresh and inviting to your studying. Plus your study space will smell amazing!
In order to get anything done, it seems like we all need some sort of background music or sound. To keep yourself from getting distracted by a TV, try a new playlist with some of your faves and other songs that will keep you focused.
Spotify has great options depending on what you like to listen to. If you are in the mood for classical music with a twist, there are tons of playlists out there for you to stay focused and on track! Is metal more your vibe, share your study playlist for us to give a try!
5. A Good Drink
Stay hydrated while studying with either a hot or cold drink! The temps will keep you from dozing off or getting distracted by anything else. This serves as a good reminder to get moving during your break and get those steps in.
Our fave hot drink for studying is peppermint tea as it is super energizing and can promote memory when you drink it while you study. Our favorite cold drink is ice water with any kind of fresh fruit infused in it. Super yummy and tasty for your next study break!
If you are going to be studying for such a long time, you might as well be cozy and comfortable while doing it! If you are comfortable while studying, you will be able to solidly focus on your studies than how uncomfortable you might feel in your outfit.
We know that Target always has the coziest and most affordable options for cozy studying and something that you can pick up during your next Target trip!
7. Twinkle Lights
Create a perfect environment with some mood lighting! Overhead lights can be harsh on your eyes while you are studying. Instead, use twinkle lights and lamps to create a soothing and calm environment for you and your textbooks this finals season.
Sit back and relax during your study break and let the twinkly lights calm down any stress that you might be feeling! Take a deep breath and get back to studying, you got this girl!
8. Blue Light Glasses
If you like to do most of your studying on a tablet or a computer, chances are that your eyes are continuously straining to see whatever is on that screen! A cute and practical accessory to add during your next study break is a pair of blue light glasses.
Just about everywhere has these great little tools so you can pick up a pair on your next Target run! This will block out the harsh light of the screen so that you are able to study for longer and you can ace that exam!
9. Planner and Notebook
Keep your notes and homework looking pretty with nice stationery! Nothing is more motivating than a cute notebook and pretty pens to take all of your notes in. Spending the extra time on your notes and studies will help you overall in class and with your grades!
If you are more of an electronic girl, there are tons of apps in the app store that are great alternatives to regular pen and paper. You can keep everything organized and with you on the go and on your next study break!
10. Nail Polish
Another fun self-care hack that we love for your next study break is good ol’ nail polish. If you are typing away another paper for English class or writing notes for History class, then at least your fingers can look pretty while studying!
