12 Sorority Craft Ideas For Fall Any Sister Will Love

Joining a sorority is a great way to put your foot in the door and make friends in college, but as many girls already know, just going through the recruitment process won’t necessarily prove enough in breaking the ice with members of your pledge class and/or the older girls. So, it’s the sorority’s job to implement ways that sisters can get to know each other, and one great way to encourage sister bonding is by working on a cool craft together! By having a mutual project, it encourages girls to get to know each other without making it awkward or having to make the first move, and it also means that they’ll go home with something to show for.

Remember though, the best sorority crafts are straightforward enough that everyone can participate and have a good time, but they also keep things fresh and fun for the craftier sisters. Here are 12 sorority craft ideas that any sister will love.

1. Paddles

Paddle decorating is a craft that both sororities and fraternities practice nationwide. It’s a perfect gift for a big/little, because it has a traditional greek vibe to it, but it also leaves room for personalization. You can decorate the paddle with your greek letters, your symbol, their initials or name, things they like, and all of the above!

2. Canvas

A lot of sorority sisters enjoy a canvas because it’s usually decorated with the sorority’s name on it in pretty letters and/or a cool design, which makes a great decoration for a dorm room or apartment. A canvas can be really simple, but depending on who you are making it for, you can take it so many different things on it. Either way, sisters will feel proud to represent their chapter.

3. Map

For most people, college is a time for meeting new people from different places. In any given chapter, there are girls from all over the state or nation, and it’s something to be celebrated! Designing your own map and pinning where your sisters are from can be a fantastic way to honor the diversity of your chapter.

5. Collaging

You can take any old magazine and construction to make a cool collage with your sisters. These can be hung up in dorms, apartments, and even the sorority house itself!

6. Thank You Card Making

Still in the spirit of the holidays, making Thank You cards is a perfect and simple way to get sisters together and also get involved with the community. The chapter can make cards for anyone who helps the chapter like house moms, chefs and cooks, etc, and since a huge part of greek life is activism in the community, this craft is a perfect pick!

7. Cooler Decorating

A cooler is a great gift for your 21+ year old sister, since she obviously needs to keep her beverages chilled! The cooler can be decked out just for your sister with all of her favorite stuff: bands, movies, drinks, hometown, etc. And, this is a perfect craft too, because even if you’re not 21, the cooler can be used for other refreshments until you’re finally legal!

8. Face Mask Making

Every sorority sister needs time to unwind, relax, and get some spa treatment. The problem is, most college students have no business looking into an actual spa day, and for that very reason, the perfect sorority craft is face mask making!
