These Disney gifts are some of the best things you can get any Disney fan out there for Christmas! Here are our top Disney gift ideas!

Disney Plus is a beautiful new app great for streaming any Disney made tv shows and movies. If you’re on the fence about the monthly payment, here are a few movies that will make you want to download Disney plus.

Captain Marvel (2019)

Captain Marvel is a 2019 film based on the Marvel cinematic universe superhero “Captain Marvel” and her character development and backstory as told in the Marvel comic universe. Brie Larson stars as “Captain Marvel” and gives a memorable performance. Many find Captain Marvel to be a queer film about a strong female pilot and her “best friend” in the 70’s. That seems to be the case because there is no other love interest in the film, and she has an extremely close relationship with her best friend’s daughter. Captain Marvel is a great film you can find on Disney plus and will satisfy all the feminist principles that you want to see on film.

Aladdin (2019)

If you didn’t watch Aladdin in theatres, you missed out, but not to worry because you can find it easily accessible to you on the Disney Plus app! Aladdin’s live-action is a new film based on the old cartoon Disney movie Aladdin. Aladdin is played by actor Mena Massoud who has a very musical theatre charm. Will Smith also appears in the film as the Genie, who excels at the role and performs fun dancing numbers. Another actor you might find familiar is Naomi Scott she’s been in several movies, but most of us probably know her from her part as “Mo” on Lemonade Mouth. Aladdin will have you singing along and tapping your feet, making it all the more worth it to download Disney Plus.

Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century (1999)

The name of the movie and the year of release sounds like wildly coincidental. Although, when the film refers to the 21st Century, they are referring to the year 2049. Zenon is a classic Disney Channel movie that ran until at least 2010. I remember watching it as a child and wanting to be Zenon. The movie is about a young girl who lives on a spaceship with her family. She is later sent to earth for misbehaving. She then doesn’t fit in with the people on earth and has to navigate trust issues with her parents. Young Zenon must come face to face with an adult Antagonist threatening her family aboard the spaceship. Zenon is a classic movie and will have you feeling all kinds of nostalgia.

Frozen (2013)

I’m sure if you have a young child in your life, you have seen Frozen, but if you haven’t, Disney Plus allows you the best opportunity to: for free and from the comfort of your own home! Frozen merchandise since the year of release has been flooding all kinds of stores from drug stores to department stores to general merchandise stores. The movie has made a real impact on children everywhere, still dressing up like Elsa or Anna every Halloween. Frozen is a heartfelt film with lovable animated animal characters to snowmen to princesses. What more could you need? Elsa and Anna are sisters in which one harbors magical powers and uses them to find her departed sister. Elsa struggles to control her powers while her whole town shuns her because they see her as a witch. This lovable movie about family and friendship will have you reaching for the tissues as you weep.

Princess Diaries (2001)

The Princess Diaries is a classic family movie about an awkward young girl who discovers she is related to royalty. If you haven’t seen this film shame on you, you should download Disney Plus to watch this movie. Young Anne Hathaway stars as “Mia” and her grandmother “Helen” is portrayed by the well-renowned actress Julie Andrews. Mia goes through a training period coached by her grandmother to inherit the throne of Genovia. She undergoes a series of struggles throughout the movie but finds confidence through her inheritance of the throne. Mia deals with chaos, love interests, and family problems. I won’t spoil the ending for the small percentage of people who are unfamiliar with the film, but either way, it is a charming film to watch on any occasion.

Moana (2016)

Moana has to be one of the best modern princess movies, and yes, it is just as good as everyone says it is. I’m sure all Hamilton fans have seen Moana because Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote a few of the songs. It is more than just another princess movie, one of the things I respected about it was the fact that Moana is not presented as most Disney princess are. Moana is not white, nor impossibly thin, and her character is very empowered. Another princess, like Elsa, doesn’t have a love interest and therefore has far more character development. Dwayne Johnson plays God named “Maui,” who is playful and has a heavy god-complex. Moana is an excellent movie filled with catchy songs and many obstacles. It is a must-see for not just any Disney fan but any movie fan.

Cadet Kelly (2002)

Cadet Kelly is another Disney Channel original movie that was a significant part of any young adult’s childhood. Kelly is played by Hillary Duff, who also plays an essential role in any young adult’s youth as well. Cadet Kelly is a wholesome family film where a young 13-14-year-old girl has to leave her school and her girly flair to enter into a military school due to her mom remarries. At first, she rebelled against the school and her stepfather, who also is the school’s Commandant. This conflict serves as a complication between teen identity and family values. I won’t spoil the end, but it’s a heartwarming movie that anyone at any age could enjoy. The cheesiness of Disney and the poor camera work of the early 2000s only adds to its charm; this is another movie that makes it worth it to download the app.
