DIY Wedding Decor Ideas You Have To See With Your Own Eyes

Weddings can be stressful and expensive. Not only that but sometimes when someone else is planning your wedding you don’t get to add any special touches that are unique and sentimental to you. Collaborating on some DIY wedding decor with your partner could be a great way to bond and add some personal touches to your wedding!

If you want to add some DIY touches to your wedding, here’s some inspo to get you excited!

1. Light Bulb Flowers

If you are having a floral wedding then these hanging light bulb flowers would be the perfect DIY wedding decor! These add a cute and quirky touch to any room. They are elegant but they also show some personality. These are giving the effect of classy but also cute.

In order to achieve this look, all you need are some light bulbs, whatever flowers you want, and some string. Whatever colors you decide to have at your wedding, you can always use those color flowers to add the perfect accent to the room. You could even use a totally different color of flower to add a pop of color.

These are really appealing because you can customize them and really make them your own.

2. Floral Picture Ring

This is the cutest and most sentimental DIY wedding decor idea! If you want to incorporate some DIY projects on your special day in order to put a personal and meaningful touch on things, this would be an amazing project to give a try.

All you have to do is print out photos of you and your partner and attach them to ribbons. Then connect the ribbons and run them across the ring. To add the special touch of decor you can add some flowers off to the side like the photo below. And just like that, you have a sentimental and beautiful wedding decor piece!

3. Sophisticated Glass Cup Candles

If you’re planning on having candles at your wedding and you want an upscale look, these glass cup candles will do the trick! Mostly everyone has some plain clear glass cups laying around in their cabinets so this will be a real money saver.

All you have to do is get your glass cup, fill it with water, place a small candle at the top, and light it. It looks elegant and expensive and all you did was use some things you already had laying around the house! That’s what DIY wedding decor is all about!

4. Photo Tree

This is another great option if you are looking for a sentimental option that’s personalized for you and your partner. All you need is a bouquet of flowers, some sticks, string, and photos. If you want everything to be cohesive we also recommend getting some paint for the twigs.

In order to accomplish this look, you’ll need to get the large bouquet and stand it up. Once you’ve done this you’re going to want to find long twigs. Paint the twigs the color that corresponds with the bouquet. Then stick the twigs inside the bouquet to give it a tree-like effect. Then from there all you do is hang your pictures from the string.

This photo tree looks elegant and expensive. It looks like you hired someone to get this custom made!

5. Selfie Station

This is a great DIY wedding decor idea that you and your guests will enjoy! Make a spot designated as a selfie station! Not only will this give everyone a fun activity to do, but it will also create more memories of your special day.

To create a selfie station it’s fairly simple and you can customize it to be however you like. The photo below is some great inspo for a cute and simple way to do things. All you really need is a wall and a sign that says selfie station. Other than that you can decorate it as you please. Since everything is hung on a small portion of the wall you could do it all with some poster board and paint!

6. Balloon Filled Letters

This is something that recently went viral on Tik Tok. Balloon filled letters became a huge trend, and we think they’d be great for some DIY wedding decor. All you need is some balloons and some poster-board.

This is some decor that might be a little more time-consuming but the end result is so worth it. It’s also completely customizable and can say whatever you want, and you can also do whatever color you want so you can make this project totally your own.

7. Jar and Twinkle Lights

If you want a cute and whimsical look at your wedding then these jar and twinkle lights will be perfect DIY wedding decor for you! They will give your special day a magical feel and it’s the perfect dim lighting especially for an outside ceremony.

All you need to do is get some string lights and some mason jars with lids. Cut a small hole in the top of the mason jar lids and stick the light through them. Then screw the mason jar and the lid together and then you have the perfect DIY wedding lighting!

8. “Just Married” Sign

This “just married” sign is seriously so cute and so easy to do! This is also something that is totally customizable. You can use any color wood you want, you can even paint it to be a solid color. You can use any type of paint and font and any decor. We recommend adding some flowers to the top for a finishing touch!

9. Barrel Tables

If you’re having a rural outside wedding then this could be a great way to have some cute decor and save some cash! If you don’t already have barrels laying around that’s fine because either way they are cheaper than buying individual tables.

They give a great home-like and natural vibe to your wedding and it’s a stylish and creative touch if you want to save some cash.

10. Dress Up Basic Items

The best and easiest way to spice up your wedding decor is to throw small finishing touches on basic items. If you have plain white chairs, some flower attachments could really dress them up and make them look more expensive.
