Mimosas are one of those classic cocktails that you can’t go wrong with and the best thing about them is that they are so cheap to make at home. This brunch classic consists of prosecco topped off with orange juice and it’s delicious to drink at any time of the day.

These Watermelon Margaritas look really impressive but they’re actually really easy to make at home. All you need to do is split the cost of a bottle of tequila between your friends and then mix it with blended frozen watermelon and some lime for a refreshing drink.

Everyone has got some ginger beer lurking in the back of fridge at home and this delicious ginger pear cocktail puts it to good use. To make, simply mix ginger beer with pear juice and some kind of spirit like Vodka for a dangerously addictive cocktail. You could even add in some cinnamon for an added kick.

7. Cosmopolitan 

If you’re a Sex and the City fan, then you’ll probably be well aware of Carrie’s favourite drink. The best thing about a cosmopolitan, apart from that it’s pink, is that it’s really easy and inexpensive to make at home. All you need is some vodka as your base and then cranberry juice to mix it with.  To finish it off either add in orange liquor or just a dash of orange juice to save money.

This tasty cocktail is guaranteed to brighten your day and it’s one of those drinks that you can pretty much throw in anything that you have at home. The basic ingredients are Malibu and orange juice. After that, you can add in anything else you fancy such as grenadine, cranberry juice or some fresh fruit slices. 

9. Bees Knees Cocktail

When it comes to cocktail recipes, this one is pretty sweet. Made with honey, this drink looks impressive but it actually contains only a handful of ingredients. All you need is gin, runny honey, egg white and lemon juice. To make it, simply mix all of the ingredients together and shake until the egg white is foamy.  Then just pour it into glasses, holding the foam layer back until the end.

Rum punch is one of those failsafe cocktail recipes and an inexpensive drink to make for a party.  You’ll need a bottle of rum, some pineapple juice, orange juice or any other juices that you fancy, plus some grenadine.
