10 DIY Starbucks Drinks That You Have To Make For Yourself

Starbucks is known for having some great drinks. From their frappuccino’s to their iced teas, they’re all tasty and worth spending that extra cash on. However, making your own copycat Starbucks drinks at home is a fun alternative. Your bank account will thank you also.

Find out how to make the best drinks Starbucks has to offer in the comfort of your own home from the list down below!

1. Mango Dragonfruit Refresher

This drink exceeds all my expectations for what I want a refreshing summer drink to be. It’s perfectly sweet and fruity thanks to the yummy combination of mango and dragonfruit. It’s relatively easy to make yourself too! To begin, pour 2 cups of water into a shaker cup. Add in 1 cup of mango juice, 1 cup of ice, and 1/4 cup of cut up dragonfruit (fresh) or frozen dragonfruit (Pitaya Plus is a great brand for that!) Shake all of the ingredients together and voilà! You made your own Starbucks refresher.

2. Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

The vanilla bean frappuccino at Starbucks used to be my all time favorite drink to order whenever I’d go there in middle school. To me, it tasted just like a vanilla milkshake. All you have to do is take 1 cup of milk (whichever you prefer), 1 cup of ice, 2-3 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream, a few drops of vanilla extract, and blend all that together until you get the right consistency. If you’re a fan of whipped cream, top the drink with it once you finish blending everything together.

3. Ice Caramel Macchiato

This drink is a classic at Starbucks. It’s also one of the most Instagram-worthy drinks there. You’re probably thinking by the looks of it that it is impossible to make yourself, but that is certainly not the case! You take 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup and pour it into the glass or cup you’re going to be drinking it out of. Then, add in ice cubes (approximately 1/2 cup.) Slowly pour in 1/3 cup of cold milk, pouring the espresso (2 shots) over the top afterwards. Last but not least, drizzle some caramel over the top of the drink in an ever layer for presentation and taste. Combine the ingredients together before drinking and you’re set to enjoy!

4. Valencia Orange Refresher

Another refreshing drink to make on a hot day. This copycat recipe is a new favorite of mine, I’m sure it will be for you too. It’s so easy and tasty. To start off, pour about a cup of ice into your desired cup or glass, then fill it up with 3/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice. If there’s no time to make your own orange juice, then use whatever you have on deck. Fill the remaining bit of the glass/cup up with your choice of lemon iced tea, add in a bit of sugar, and drink up!

5. Caramel Apple Spice

Starbucks is known for getting pretty festive with their drinks. This drink in particular is fair proof of that. When the weather starts to change and it gets more chilly outside, hop into your kitchen with this exact recipe in hand and you won’t be left disappointed. For starters, take 12 oz of apple cider and warm it in a saucepan on medium heat for 5 minutes. When it begins to boil, remove it from the heat and grab a mug, adding 3 tablespoons of cinnamon syrup into it. Pour the cider on top of the syrup and drizzle the top of the drink with caramel sauce and a dash of cinnamon. You can also top it with whipped cream too if you really want.

In all seriousness, make this drink if you can! It will leave you feeling all warm and toasty.

6. Pumpkin Spice Latte

To keep the trend of festive Starbucks drinks going, I bring you the legendary pumpkin spice latte. The only sad thing about the real one they serve up at Starbucks is that it is only available during the fall months. Luckily, recipes like this exist so you can make the delicious drink whenever and however you want it.

In a medium saucepan, heat up 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 a cup of brewed coffee, and 1/2 a cup of milk. Stir the ingredients together and bring it to a simmer. Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the mixture into a heatproof mug. Spray the top of the mug with whipped cream, coating the top with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.

7. Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher

This drink may take a bit longer with prep time and making it overall, but it is definitely worth it. The Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher was the first refresher drink I ever tried at Starbucks and I have no regrets about it. Besides, anything that involves mixed berries is a big yes for me. Courtesy of Beauty and the Beets, I bring you the best Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher recipe you will ever find.
