10 Ways To Glow Up Over Summer Holidays

Summer holidays are the time for reinvention when you can put aside your worries about work and school and really focus on you. So here are ten top tips on how to glow up over the summer holidays!

1. Read something new

There are so many great books that will help you think in new ways and improve yourself! Books like ‘The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck’ are great ways to help you think of yourself in a more positive way.

2. Workout

Although exercise is not fun for all of us it’s always a good idea to get into it. Try and find a sport or activity that you enjoy doing that’s getting your heart rate up a bit and you’ll be really great both physically and mentally!

3. Change your hair

It’s always fun to change your look up and maybe a new cut or colour could be the perfect start to your summer glow up. Try to find a colour that you love and you think you’ll suit well and if you don’t like it you can always change it again! Just make sure you’re using good hair products to ensure your hair remains healthy.

4. Drink more water

As clichéd as it sounds this actually helps a lot. Drinking more water will do wonders for your skin, hair, nails and overall health. So try to drink as much as you can throughout the day to stay hydrated. I’d recommend getting yourself a big water bottle to carry around so you’ll remember!

5. Get a tan

Everyone feels better when they’re tanned it’s a fact. I would advise against sunbeds because of the health risks but there are some brilliant self-tanners in the market that are also budget-friendly. I’d recommend St Moriz self-tanner for a cheap and effective option.

6. Try out a new makeup look

If you’ve been scared of trying winged liner or a bold lip give it a go! Practise makes perfect and it might become part of your staple look over summer. You can always look to beauty gurus for inspiration!

7. Invest in some new clothing

Summer is the perfect time for a new wardrobe, try and find some new looks that you might’be not considered before. Make sure you love and can imagine yourself in everything you buy though otherwise you’ll probably end up not wearing it.

8. Catch up with some old friends

Over the holidays you’ll have all the time to catch up with any friends you may have drifted from over the school term. Reach out through a dm or a Snapchat starting a conversation and mentioned that you’d love to hang out sometime.

9. Redecorate your room

This is a great way to improve yourself too because your own living space is very important. There are so many ways to redecorate from painting your room a new colour to buying entirely new furniture. Of course, it depends on how much of a budget you’re on but there are so many great DIYs you could follow to give your room a glow up as well.

10. Enjoy your summer holidays

One of the best ways to glow up is to just focus on enjoying yourself and having a great time on holiday. Try and spend time with family and friends as much as you can so you can really make the most of your summer holidays because before you know it all the hard work will be starting again!
