Several acclaimed Directors back the unpopular opinion that the Marvel Movies, Superhero films produced by Marvel Studios, aren’t cinema. One of those directors includes Oscar-Winning Director Martin Scorsese, who stated in a 2019 interview with Empire Magazine, “I don’t see [the Marvel Movies]. I tried, you know? But that’s not cinema. Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks. 10. Netflix-Original Films Should Not Be At The Oscars:

Spielberg stated in an interview with ITV News (See below): “Once you commit to a television format, you’re a TV movie. You certainly — if it’s a good show — deserve an Emmy, but not an Oscar.”
