Whether they’re on Instagram, YouTube or run their own blog, influencers are paid highly every year to talk about products and share their opinions. Although those in the Beauty world may not make as much as gaming or comedy YouTubers, they still have a lot to show for their work! With over 13.5 million subscribers on YouTube, it’s no wonder that Rachel Levin (otherwise known as RCLBeauty101) is the highest paid beauty influencer of the year. Since last year she made an astounding £955,300 off her videos and sponsorships.

2. James Charles

James Charles may only be 19 years old, but he’s already the second highest paid beauty influencer of the year, banking £585,050 from his YouTube channel. What really helped catapult him into fame was the fact that he was made the first male spokesperson of CoverGirl.  He is also very famous for Flashback Mary meme which was born when James took a photo with a fan and his face powder caused major flashback, making him look pale.

3. Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star is quite a controversial figure in the beauty world, and he’s certainly rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. That being said, as of April this year he has made £583,950 from his YouTube channel and cosmetics brand — making him the third highest paid beauty influencer of the year!

4. Laura Lee

With her large social media presence and numerous collaborations with major beauty brands such as Too Faced, MAC and Benefit, it’s no surprise that Laura Lee has cashed in tons in the past year. With £372,250, under her belt, Laura Lee is one of the top 5 highest paid influencers of 2018.

5. Manny MUA

Here’s another male makeup artist making waves amongst big beauty brands! Not only does Manny have a successful YouTube channel, he’s also a brand ambassador for Maybelline. All his hard work shows, as he cashed in £370,250 last year!

6. Nikkie Tutorials

Nikkie Tutorials is quite famous for starting a series of videos that took the YouTube community by storm, such as doing a full face using only highlighter, or trying on 100 layers of foundation. With the viral status of her videos, her collaborations with big brands and even Kim Kardashian, it’s no wonder she raked in £315,950 last year.

7. KathleenLights

Kathleen Lights is still one of the most popular beauty YouTubers amongst young girls and teens, and her earnings definitely prove it. Despite some controversies, her work with numerous beauty brands and her frequent makeup tutorials had her making £156,005 in the past year.

Jackie Aina’s influence has reached far beyond just her YouTube followers. She frequently speaks out about the issues people of colour face in the beauty industry, and even helped Too Faced relaunch their foundations to incorporate more shades. Because of her strong message and collaborations, Jackie Aina is one of the highest paid beauty influencers of 2018, making £125,700 as of April.

10. Zoella

Zoella is the only UK-based beauty influencer to make this list, and her name certainly is a familiar one. Zoella’s been on YouTube for quite a while now, making videos on beauty and fashion for her 12 million subscribers, so it’s no surprise that she rounds off this list with her £122,500 earnings.
