5 Nail Looks You'll Love This Summer

A cute and creative nail look is just as much an accessory as shoes or a bracelet. Pretty looking nails have the ability to complete your whole outfit. After all, people are always coming into contact or seeing your hands. As summer is here now is a great time to experiment with those bright colours. Here are 5 nail looks you’ll love this summer.

 1. White And Orange Flames

As well as the polishes for this look you will need nail art strips. These are easy to find online or instore and are reasonably cheap. To begin, apply two coats of white nail polish for the base. You want to make sure the varnish is completely dry before you move on if not the whole look will smudge and the strips won’t align properly. Place the strips diagonally across each other like an X and paint one side yellow and the other orange. At the base of the nail apply the black.

2. Mint, White and Gold Striped

Just as the design before apply white polish to the whole of the nail and again be careful of smudging and ensure is properly dry before continuing. Apply the mint coloured polish to the top half of the nail, rounding it off in the middle. Outline the curved area with a sparkly gold polish using a nail pic or a nail art pen.

3. Sexy Scalloped

To give the style a nice shiny finish start by applying a clear basecoat. Spill some red polish onto a piece of foil (because that doesn’t stick or stain) and dip a pin head into it or a nail art pen. Begin by lightly dabbing the first dot onto the center tip of your nail, re-dip the pin head into the polish spill, and then create two more dots on both sides of the center one, leaving the smallest amount of space in between. Next, create two more dots, again re-dipping each time, and remembering to leave space in between. Using the bottle brush, lightly drag the tip of it across the edge of your nail to create the scalloped effect.

4. Beach Waves Inspired

Get a small sized sponge and apply the light brown, turquoise and blue over the sponge in any way. Dab the sponge to the nails so the nail polish transfers to them. The sponge may get dry soak so just some polish in it again. Let the polish dry and fill a plastic cup with water. Put a few drops of white nail polish into the cup of water and spray some hairspray over it. The polish will start to separate looking similar to a spider web. Stick one finger into the water so the polish sticks to it.

5. Marble Look

You will need two contrasting nail colours. Apply one coat of the lighter of the two shades to all your nails, then let it dry. Once it’s dry, apply a second coat that’s much thicker than the first. As the lighter color is still wet, use a dotter tool or nail art pen to apply your contrasting polish. Using the dotter tool, swirl your colors together.
