In recent years, the UK has become the place to go to music festivals, with the live music scene blowing up. Because of this, there are now so many amazing music festivals happening during the British summer holidays, it is hard to choose which one, or ones, you are going to. With so many festivals, there are different vibes, music genres, locations and lengths of festivals to suit anyone and everyone’s needs. To help you make up your mind, we have compiled a list of the top eight British summertime festivals that you cannot miss out on.
1. Glastonbury Festival

Music genres: Glastonbury Festival pretty much includes every genre, from rock to pop to house and country.
2. Reading and Leeds Festival
Where: Little John’s Farm (Reading) and Bramham Park (Leeds)
When: August 23-25, 2019
Lineup Highlights: The 1975, Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters, The Wombats, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Bastille, Dave, Machine Gun Kelly, Anteros, Mini Mansions, Of Mice & Men, Charli XCX, Pale Waves, The Distillers, The Amazons, Billie Eilish, Blossoms, Hayley Kiyoko, Yungblud, Mura Masa, CHVRCHES.

Where: Gunnersbury Park, London
When: July 12-13, 2019
Lineup Highlights: Solange, Chance The Rapper, Brockhampton, Loyle Carner, Four Tet, Lizzo, slowthai, Action Bronson, Annie Mac, H.E.R., Cupcakke, Vanjess, Loyle Carner.
Music Genres: Lovebox festival tends to showcase music in the genres of R&B, rap and hip hop.

Where: Donington Park, Leicestershire
When: June 14-16, 2019
Lineup Highlights: Def Leppard, Smashing Pumpkins, Whitesnake, Trivium, Slipknot, Tool, Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators), Die Antwoord, Lamb of God, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Skindred.
Music Genres: Download Festival is the key rock music festival, having acts ranging from classic rock to glam rock to heavy metal.
6. Creamfields Festival
Where: Daresbury Estate, Cheshire
When: August 22-25, 2019

Music Genres: If you are wanting a festival which purely features DJ’s so that you can dance the night away, then Creamfieds is that festival.
7. Wireless Festival
Where: Finsbury Park, London
When: July 5-7, 2019
Lineup Highlights: Cardi B, Migos, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyga, Stefflon Don, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Gunna, Ella Mai, Tory Lanez, Bugzy Malone, IAMDDB, Lil Yachty, Tiwa Savage, Rich the Kid.
Music Genres: Simiar to Lovebox Festival, Wireless mainly features artists from rap, hip hop and R&B backgrounds.
8. Lattitude Festival
Where: Henham Park, Suffolk
When: July 18-21, 2019
Lineup Highlights: George Ezra, Lana Del Rey, Snow Patrol, CHVRCHES, Futureheads, Everything Everything, Honeyblood, Primal Scream, MØ, Ray BLK, The Kingdom Choir, Jenny Lewis.
Music Genres: Lattitude Festival is another mainstream music festival which feaures acts from many genres, including rock, pop and indie.
