With world-class museums, restaurants, bars, attractions and even beaches, Chicago offers a handful of things to do. And the Windy City is definitely the most fun in the summer. But with so many opportunities, it can be pretty hard to narrow down what you want to do if you’re visiting. Don’t worry, because I did it for you! Here are the 10 top tourist attractions in Chicago.

10. The Bean (Cloud Gate)

Let’s just knock this one out of the way now. While it is a must, it’s also just a little overrated. You just take a picture in front of it and call it a day. However, it really is in the best part of the city with a lot of other tourist attractions. And it’s cool! You can’t visit and not check out the top tourist attractions in Chicago.

9. Wrigley Field

The home to the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field is one of the oldest National League ballparks. Even when the Cubs aren’t playing, there is a lot to do in the stadium and around Wrigleyville. Fans can also tour the stadium and eat and drink at restaurants and bars around the area.

8. Michigan Avenue

Michigan Avenue is home to numerous tourist attractions and the high-end shopping area the Magnificent Mile. Whether you’re shopping, eating, drinking or just wanting a nice walk, the streets and sidewalks are safe and clean and also full of life. Architecture junkies will also appreciate the beautiful collection of towers and buildings in the heart of downtown!

7. Maggie Daley Park

This park is right next to Cloud Gate and a short drive from other musts, like Navy Pier. The park is dedicated to Chicago’s former first lady, who was passionate about improving children’s lives and making the city better for everyone. The park is fun for everyone!

6. 360 Chicago

Those who have seen a picture of the Chicago skyline can most likely figure out where it was taken: the newly-renamed 360 Chicago Observation Deck!  While it offers food and drinks (for a price,) 360 Chicago even has a thrilling feature called Tilt, which is a row of giant glass windows that tilt out high in the sky, over the city. Hold on tight!

Located in Grant Park, this museum is a must-do if you’re visiting the city. It is home to numerous artifacts and exhibits from various decades and also has a 3-D theater. While it is a little costly, with tickets at $24 for adults and $17 for kids, it guarantees a fun-filled day for children, teenagers and adults alike!

4. Navy Pier

Similar to Cloud Gate, Navy Pier is one of the most well-recognized attractions in Chicago. But for good reasons; it extends out onto Lake Michigan and is home to a handful of entertainment for all ages. There’s shops, food, an IMAX theater, a fun maze and of course: the Centennial Wheel!
