New York City is really the city that never sleeps. There are endless places to explore in NYC, every nook and cranny of this city is filled with excitement and adventure. Here’s the ultimate NYC bucket list:

1. Exploring Central Park’s Secret Waterfalls

The Central Park Waterfalls are a natural hidden gem in the concrete jungle. The waterfalls are located in the North Woods. They are definitely a beautiful sight to see or if you want to spend a day relaxing in the serene environment. It’s a great place to go on a date also! You can always bring some food and turn it into a picnic. It is New York City’s ultimate getaway from bustling city life. This is one of my favorites on the NYC bucket list.

2. Put on a brave face for The Comedy Cellar

The comedy cellar is the one of most courageous things to do in New York City. Sitting front row, you give comedians the option to poke fun you. Going to the comedy cellar would make for a great and a priceless experience. Famous comedians like Amy Schumer, Dave Chapelle, and Chris Rock are known to make appearances here. The use of your cellphone is also limited which allows the audience to have no distractions and enjoy the live comedy performances. This experience challenges you to step outside your comfort zone and leaves you with unforgettable memories.

3. Get ready to party at the House of Yes

Whenever you are in NYC the House of Yes is a place that you must pay a visit to. It’s a club, venue and a bar, a combination for great parties. There has been dance, circus, theater, burlesque & cabaret performances in this former ice warehouse. The over the top events are usually free if you dress based on the theme of the party! This place is unlike anywhere you’ve been, if you’re looking for a lively night out The House of Yes is the place to go.

4. Get your drink on at a Rooftop Bar

Rooftop bars are the best place to hangout and take breathtaking pictures of of New York City. Two rooftop bars that have stunning views and phenomenal drinks is St. Cloud Social at The Knickerbocker Hotel and The Roof Garden Bar at the MET on 5th Ave. St. Cloud offers incredible views of Times Square and the drinks are unique and delicious. The Roof Garden Bar provides an experience unlike any other. After exploring the MET you can head up to The Roof Garden Bar and the sight is absolutely beautiful. Views of the New York skyline and Central Park are visible, all the while you can be sipping wine, beer, specialty drinks, coffee, soft drinks, and enjoy some light snacks and desserts. If you’re looking for a sky high experience, a NYC rooftop bar is the place to go.

5. Delve into a book lover’s paradise at The Strand

The Strand is New York City’s most iconic and one the oldest bookstores. This place contains 18 miles of books! They have an extremely diverse collection of books and there is something for everyone. The Strand can appeal to all audiences no matter their age. This bookstore is a remarkable place, sometimes there is a cheeky dog named Gizmo who sells you books! The Strand also has a secret book room which is only accessible by an elevator ride. This room contains the most prized possessions and it makes for a great reading spot! The Strand can occupy you for hours and spark discussions about the variety of novels available to purchase. It is a remarkable experience.
