At times, its hard to decide what you should do before you graduate. Keep reading for 10 suggestions for your bucket list at Georgia State!
1. Rub Pounce’s nose for good luck before a big exam!
It’s a classic Georgia State tradition!
2. Attend at least one Pantherpalooza spring concert.
A different famous musical artist comes every year! This is the perfect night to get together with a bunch of friends and enjoy a fun concert right at your own school.
3. Watch a movie at Cinefest.
Georgia State’s student-run movie theater screening a wide variety of films and admission is FREE for GSU students. Does it get any better than that?!
4. Attend a distinguished speaker series in the student center.
Past guest speakers have included Bill Nye, John Legend, America Ferrera, Steve Harvey, Laverne Cox, and Usher! You never know who could be coming this year.
5. Go on a Touch the Earth trip.
Adventure sports, backpacking and overnight treks, spring break trips, day trips, instructional clinics, and even whitewater trips. There are many opportunities to join fellow Georgia State students on these amazing adventures.
6. Check out the view on the top level of M-deck parking deck for that top of the city feeling.
7. See a performance at the Rialto center for the arts.
Just right across Aderhold, this diverse performing arts venue features Georgia State School of Music’s performances, world music and dance, jazz, and many other artistic styles and genres. The Rialto is truly the cultural centerpiece of downtown Atlanta.
8. Visit Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
Located walking distance from campus, this diverse farmer’s market has many delicious eateries and is perfect for grocery shopping. Come out and explore the culture in this historical market and grab a bite while you’re at it!
9. Study abroad!
If you’re worried about finances or graduating on time, you definitely don’t have to commit to leaving the country for an entire semester. In fact, studying abroad is perfect for Maymesters and the summer semester! Don’t be afraid to add it to your bucket list at Georgia State! College is the perfect time to immerse yourself in a foreign country and it allows you to really gain a new perspective on the world!
