This is one of the most important empowering TED Talks that every woman in her 20’s should watch. Jay provides a very bold and empowering message in her talk that all women need to hear. Jay argues that instead of ‘cruising along’ in your 20’s and seeing where life takes you, it is a time in your life that you need to take seriously and understand that every decision you make will effect your future in some way or another. This TED Talk by Mel Robbins is truly everything you need to hear. Robbins discusses that a third of Americans feel completely dissatisfied with their lives. Her solution? Be selfish! Sheryl Sandberg makes a bold move in her first-ever TED Talk by discussing her experience as one of the few women at the C-Level of business. Sandberg argues that women have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go, in regards to careers, rights and equality. Brené Brown’s TED Talk is also very powerful, as she discusses vulnerability. Brown discusses how we are all faced with failure in our lives, which makes it hard to be vulnerable. However, she adds that regardless of how scary vulnerability is, great things can come from it. She argues that our goal in life should be to dare, and we can do this by silencing shame with empathy, standing up to vulnerability and daring greatly.
