We love our furry four legged friends, and although we love men too, a dog is life. You can do so many things with a dog that you can do with a boyfriend, and more! Boys come and go, but a pup is for life. You can kiss as many frogs as you like to find your Prince Charming, but you don’t need to kiss any frogs to find your prince/princess in your dog. They are more than just man’s best friend – they are better!
Dog cuddles are all you need in life to be happy. You may always have to be the big spoon and they may always get to be cosier, but there is nothing more calming than a doggy cuddle. They are too cute to move, and you’ll soon be fighting your family and friends to get your dog’s cuddles. It makes you feel a lot less lonely, plus it keeps you as warm as a hot water bottle. What more could you ask for?
When humans play fight – it can lead to tears (even worse it could lead to yourself getting really hurt). But with a dog, they never want to hurt a person they love, so it is much safer. Their version of play fighting doesn’t consist of the typical punching and kicking, it is all about the tug-of-war. Treat them to a soft toy or a rubber one and you’ll have so much fun with your furry pal.
Not much can beat the welcome home you get from your pup. Tail’s wagging and wide eyes, even an excited jump or two, you are their whole world and more and they definitely show you that when they greet you. Even if it is your friends dog – they definitely love you as well (maybe even more?). You definitely won’t get that good a greeting from a boyfriend!
It can be quite cringe to wear matching outfits with your boyfriend – but with your dog, it’s very cute! You can rock the fashion word with matching outfits: hats, scarfs, t-shirts, hoodies, nails, the list is endless. If your dog is small enough they can even fit in a bag if it’s animal-friendly. So not only are they great company, they are great to be cute with too.
A dog will provide you with 24/7 entertainment. They may sleep for 90% of the day but they are so cute that you can literally just watch them sleep. Also, most have some crazy moments through the day so they can provide you with some giggles too. Teaching them tricks is also fun and a good way to train and pass the time. A boy won’t roll over on command or twirl for a treat. Around the clock entertainment in just one tiny animal.
Selfies with your dog are life-changing. Your camera roll will be full up of pictures of you and your dog if it is not already. Boyfriends get fed up of taking pictures all the time and it could be quite creepy to take pictures of them while they are asleep – and who wants to see them drooling and snoring anyway? But with a dog it’s a completely different story. Pictures of them in any situation are the cutest (not while doing their business however), but you’ll have endless fun with your pup.
It isn’t as easy to get a boyfriend out and about. But one word to your dog will get them very excited. Walkies. Going for a relaxing stroll, listening to music and not talking to anyone, watching your four legged friend trot along beside you, is absolute bliss. You can go on such adventures with your dog and a boyfriend may be lazy and not want to do this. Seeing the smile on your dogs’ face because you took them out will light up the world.
Say goodbye to sweaty, smelly boys sharing a bed with you and say hello to warm and cosy snuggles. Boy’s snore and kick and fidget in their sleep but dogs simply lay there and feel your warmth cuddled up beside you. Although they come with fur, it is great for those cold winter nights, it’s a lot better than a hot water bottle, believe me.
Not only is a dog a really good pet, he/she will soon become your best friend. They do everything with you and will stay by your side no matter what. You’ll love your furry friend like no other and nothing will compare or come in between of the love you have for them. If that isn’t a reason why dogs are better than a boyfriend, I don’t know what is.
There is no better bond than a bond between dog and man. A bond that will never be able to be replaced. You won’t be able to find a bond the same – especially not with a boyfriend. Treat your dog like it is the best thing in the world because to them you are.
