8 Jackets You Need For Chilly Weather

Jackets are getting ready for their debut, with just a couple of months until the fall season! Try wearing jackets that make a bold statement, in different fabric and colors, to keep your look on-trend and polished, whether you’re dressed up or down.

1. Puffer

Puffers are jackets you can wear that keep you warm but aren’t extra-long like a winter coat. Wear your puffer with leggings and a long, oversized t-shirt, or wear with a skirt and thigh-high boots. You can wear a soft hat if you need an extra layer of warmth. Match a black puffer jacket with any handbag. If you’re going handbag free, wear your jacket with a watch or fanny pack.

2. Jean

A jean jacket can go on the same list as your favorite jeans! You can layer a jean jacket on top of a hoodie or sweater if you need extra warmth. Wear sneakers and aviator shades, when you’re taking a low-key walk to the coffee shop or post office or when simply grabbing much-needed school supplies.

3. Trench

A trench-style jacket can be casual and dressy, with large buttons and breathable fabric! Pair your trench jacket with a blouse and high waisted jeans. Add shoes and accessories like a watch and bracelets, platform oxfords and simple rings. If you want a more dressed down look, simply wear white sneakers with your jacket and a cropped t-shirt or sleeveless sweater.

4. Shearling

A shearling style coat, with corduroy texture, is a smaller jacket that brings lots of warmth. Pair the ridged texture of the jacket with a ribbed cropped sweater or turtleneck. Easily wear with belted jeans and sneakers, or black pointed pumps! Try wearing a black lace cami, with a black shearling style coat and ankle boots.

5. Parka

When you need a light-weight jacket, try a parka in a camo color like army green. Pair with black, oversized aviator glasses and a nude color handbag. Or, wear an all-black outfit, in a black skirt and cotton t-shirt and accent with combat boots along with an army green parka.

7. Cropped Leather

Short leather jackets come in many biker-inspired styles. A short leather jacket with zippers and studs can be worn with a long floral print dress and ankle booties. Or, you can wear your short jacket with a sexy party dress and strappy open-toe heels. Since the jacket exposes your chest a bit more, try wearing a long necklace in gold or silver. Or, pair with a long scarf around your neck, in a bold print and color.

A trendy bomber jacket in pink can be worn on casual days, when you’re simply hanging out or going last-minute shopping. Wear a bomber jacket with a choker, to keep it trendy and cute. Jackets are perfect to cover up when it’s cold out, but not have to wear a heavy-weight coat. Wear your jacket with jean pants, shorts, and skirts. Or, wear a jacket with sneakers if you’re keeping it casual all day!
