1. Solid Color Long Sleeve

Solid colored long sleeve shirts are a huge must to pull off this look. They look classy and comfortable, without looking like you are trying too hard. For the most modern looks, try white, black, tan, navy, or gray. Turtle necks are in style too! Pair the shirt with pants, jeans, or colored jeans. tuck it in for a more modern attire. 2. Skinny Dress Pant

Okay, these dress pants are huge for pulling off business casual. They are cute, trendy, and everyone will be jealous. Not to mention, you can grab these at your local Marshalls, Tj Maxx, Target, or Old Navy for no more than $30.00. These pants will never be a waste of money because you can wear them to job interviews, work, job fairs, and so much more! The best way to wear these is to keep it simple, preferably in the shade black, navy, gray, dark green, or even soft pastel colors like baby blue or light pink.

3. Soft Jewelry

When you are trying to pull off business casual, there are many different looks that you can be inspired by. My favorite is to wear a watch or some silver bracelets. I think the reason I am drawn to this is that there is something about wearing a watch that feels so professional and mature. Not to mention, it looks super classy! I got a watch last winter from Nordstrom rack for about $40.00, and I love it. There is something so modern about that rose gold, silver, or gray-colored watch. It pairs so nicely with your outfit!

4. Light Jacket

I love wearing a light jacket to complete this look. Nothing says business casual more than a light jean jacket, utility jacket, or modern blazer. Another good thing about this is you will be able to stay warm, just about any time of the year, but it is ideal for fall and spring-related events. Similar to a lot of these looks, your outfits will always come in handy for the future as well!

5. Loafers

For business casual styles, loafers are essential. I’m not sure if they are the result of 90s fashion, or if they are a new trend, all I know is that they are in! Many loafers don’t have to be that obvious formal style, and many are more casual slip-on. Another cute tip for loafers is to try cheetah print and pair it with jeans or black clothes. It gives a more modern feel!

6. Pump

For business casual, you may be turned away by the idea of wearing any type of heel, and your not wrong! The only time to wear heels in any type of business environment is maybe if the dress code implies that, and that isn’t everywhere. Pumps, on the other hand, or any type of low-heel, are a classic statement and perky. Try a nude wedge, or maybe in the springtime a bright color!

7. Button Shirt

Button downs are a huge staple when it comes to business casual looks. It is also okay to spend a little money when it comes to this wardrobe, (not that we want you to), but it is just because you will get so much use out of these outfits. Jean button-down shirts are perfect, with black pants or colored jeans. Very modern and a classy look! There are so many shirts to choose from with business casual attire, striped, solid, or even a pretty red color to pair with gray or black pants. You are on your way to being a style icon! And the best part is, you don’t have to spend a fortune.

8. Colored Jeans

When we think business casual, a lot of us don’t consider jeans. Well, with the right shirt, jacket, shoes, and accessories, you can not just pull it off, but look great! A simple tip is to wear black jeans, a white blouse, and a jean jacket. DONE! Besides, no one has to really know that black jeans are not black dress pants. It is a little loophole if you are ever feeling lazy. On my first day of work, I got an email to dress business casual. I had no idea what to do, and I found myself in a similar situation. I always wear colored jeans to work. There’s something about colored jeans that conceal the fact that they are actually jeans!

9. Pencil Skirt

I love pencil skirts. I think if you wear them in a conservative manner, you can pull off the look for business casual. Shop J. Crew, Gap, Old Navy, or the Banana Republic for similar looks. It always reminds me of a classy, modern sophisticated attire! Pencil skirts will go with a blazer, blouse, or even a jean jacket. Especially if you live in the warmer climate this look will be better to pull off. Choose a solid color such as pink, red, blue or black, or get a cute patterned skirt! Pair them with loafers, ballet flats, or pumps to complete the look.
