Healthy Desserts You Have To Try Right Now

Healthy and desserts in the same sentence? Who would have ever thought! Yes, there are ways to eat desserts and still be healthy.

Everything in moderation is key but sometimes it’s nice to eat something and have it not be loaded with tons of sugar. Eating healthy desserts can be a great way to stay on track and also get in your daily sweet tooth fix.

When you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle but are constantly craving sweets, it can be difficult to resist them. But with these desserts, there are no more restrictions. They are perfect for parties, holidays or nights in when you need a good chocolate therapy session.

Don’t feel like you cant indulge every once in a while. They are easy enough for every day and you’ll be drooling over them.

1. Nice Cream

Nope, not ice cream my friends. I’m sure you’ve heard of nice cream which is basically nice ice cream. This can be eaten at any time of the day but because ice cream is a dessert we will call this a healthy dessert. It has become very popular recently. All you need is a high power blender like a Vitamix or a food processor and frozen bananas. Blend your bananas until they are smooth, they will form an ice cream-like consistency. You can add in a little bit of milk or almond milk if things aren’t blending smooth but don’t add too much. Add your favorite toppings like chocolate chips, cinnamon, strawberries or more! The possibilities are endless and you’ll never want ice cream once you try this.

2. Peanut Butter Muffins

This recipe is from @Sara.haven on Instagram and it is mind-blowing. These muffins can be made in a blender and require little to no ingredients. All you need is 1 cup of peanut butter, 2 bananas, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp of honey or a sweetener, 1/2 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp of baking powder. Simply combine all the ingredients into a blender and dump them into a grease muffin tray. Cook for 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees F. You can add chocolate chips to the top or walnuts to give a banana bread taste. These muffins are amazing because they are grain-free, gluten-free and paleo free! Definitely give them a try, you won’t regret it.

3. Chia Pudding

Chia pudding is so simple and easy to make. The best part is you can make it with any ingredients you want to customize it to your taste buds. For a quick and easy vanilla chia pudding recipe, try this one. Like nice cream, this can really be eaten at any point in the day. But it does make a great dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth and won’t make you feel guilty after. Chia seeds contain a lot of nutrients like omega 3 and fiber. They become gelatinous giving a pudding-like texture and will keep you full for a longer period of time.

4. Brownies

There is no way you can tell these are healthy. There are a ton of different ways to make brownies healthy that includes black beans or avocado but this recipe is hands down my favorite. They are simple to make and come together quick. This recipe is from The Loopy Whisk and she gives a bunch of different ways to substitute ingredients depending on your diet. They are refined sugar-free as well as gluten and grain-free because it uses almond flour. This healthy dessert will be the hit at your next gathering.

5. Chocolate Chip Cookies

Of course, there has to be a chocolate chip cookie on this list. This is an all-time favorite. These cookies are made with oatmeal and are call the skinny oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. You can find the complete recipe here. These cookies are gooey and you’ll never want to go back to regular chocolate chips. Adding peanut butter chips on top will take this to the next level.

No need to give up sweet when you can make these five healthy desserts! Give them a try and leave a comment below telling us which one is your favorite.
