10 Essential Oils To Add To Your Collection

Essential oils are derived from plants, and then are distilled for consumers to use. Most often, essential oils are used for aromatherapy. However, some people like to use them for alternative medicine. It is important to note that all essential oils you purchase should be one hundred percent pure, and always consult with a doctor before using them for medicinal purposes. Now, here are 10 essential oils that you should look into adding to your collection!

1. Lavender

This is probably one of the most well known essential oils. Lavender is amazing for relaxation and instilling calm. Due to this, it is great to use when you are experiencing anxiety.

Lavender oil is also the BEST for sleep. I like to diffuse it throughout the night.

A diffuser is very simple to use. Simply fill it up with water, and add a few drops of whichever essential oil you are choosing to use. I fall asleep so quickly and overall sleep much better when I have Lavender diffusing.

I have done this, and trust me, it works! Make sure you are diluting Peppermint with a carrier oil first, you can use coconut oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil to do this.

Diffusing Peppermint also helps a lot with stuffy noses and nausea. Not to mention, it can make you feel more awake and alert! Perfect to have going when you are doing school work or working from home.

An interesting benefit of Cedarwood is that it can promote hair growth and reduce hair loss. You can either mix it with a carrier oil and apply the mixture to your hair, leave it on as a hair mask, and then wash it out, or you can place a drop or two into your shampoo.
