Going on that very first date with the guy or girl you like, can be the definition of nerve-wracking. It’s important though that you don’t act all “extra” or “timid” when out on your first date. You want your date to enjoy themselves with you so that way, there could be a date two, date three and so forth. People always overthink the first date. You have to deal with the stress of figuring out what to wear so you look amazing and also how to act so you don’t look like a lame-o. I can’t help you pick out your outfit, however, I can help you maneuver your jitters and have a great first date. Here are some do’s and don’ts of first dates.

Give your undivided attention at all times
Be fully present in the conversation you all are having

Be quiet and let your date do all or most of the talking
Ask questions but then not answer those same questions when it’s your turn to
Order multiple plates of food because you want to have lunch for work tomorrow

Be extra or act like someone you think your date will fall in love with
Give short answers to questions your date ask nor overall boring conversation
These do’s and don’ts, aren’t “dating law,” so don’t think or feel like they are. They are simply my own do’s and don’ts of first dates from my own personal dating experiences. Use them as helpful tips so you can have a great first date.
