10 Foodie Restaurants In Vegas

Las Vegas is known for its bustling nightlife, crazy clubs, and constantly flashing lights. However, for those of us who live here, it is home. Home means finding those delicious and interesting foodie restaurants to try. I have listed 10 excellent foodie restaurants that are a must-try, no matter if you are a local or a tourist!

1. SkinnyFats

With a “Skinny” and “Fat” side of the menu, you can finally settle on a bomb restaurant that has options for a cheat day, or options if you are trying to stay lean. There is no wrong choice, however, for both sides are delicious. My favorite comes from the fat side and is called the Cherry Popper burger. It is a cheeseburger topped with cherry tomatoes and a sunny side up egg.

With local craft beers and even hard kombucha on tap, SkinnyFats has everything you could want at a foodie restaurant!

2. Dirt Dog

How can you make a hot dog interesting? Ketchup, mustard, relish and maybe some sauerkraut. That’s it, right? Wrong. Dirt Dog Las Vegas completely obliterates the stereotype for what you thought you could put on a hot dog.

Dirt Dog features crazy items such as bacon-wrapped dogs (so delicious), pastrami dogs, green dogs and deep-fried Oreos. It is a must try if you like hot dogs, or just food in general.

3. Therapy

This is perhaps the only time people get excited about going to Therapy. Located in the heart of the old downtown of Las Vegas on Fremont St., Therapy is a classic foodie restaurant with a large variety of menu options that will have your mouth watering. With everything from Chorizo Empanadas to Chicken and Waffle sliders, there is bound to be something that you just can’t resist on the menu!

4. Karved

If you are in the mood for a filling, protein-packed meal, Karved is definitely the place for you to check out. Featuring gourmet rotisserie meats such as beef tri-tip black angus and slow-roasted chicken, the menu is simple. You can order rotisserie meat to be served in a sandwich, bowl, or with rice and vegetables. Yum.

5. Me Gusta Tacos

Me Gusta Tacos will have you saying “Amo los tacos.” Known mostly for their delicious street tacos, Me Gusta offers delicious burritos, bowls, and even breakfast options. My personal favorites are the Me Gusta Bowl and the Anthem burrito. If you get the Me Gusta Bowl, ask for extra mango sauce.

Trust me, you will not regret eating at Me Gusta, and it’s hard not to become a regular there.

6. Yardbird

Yardbird is one of the only foodie restaurants I have seen that primarily focuses on southern food. Located in the Venetian on the Strip, Yardbird puts a delicious twist on southern recipes with dishes such as sweet tea braised short ribs. If that doesn’t get your mouth watering, I don’t know what will.

Fried chicken is their specialty, and it is brined for 27 hours before being tossed in Yardbird’s signature spices and flour to deliver probably the tastiest fried chicken I have ever had.

7. 8 Kitchen

8 Kitchen could not have picked a better place to open than Vegas. For one, I love Asian Fusion food, and 8 Kitchen is definitely my favorite Asian foodie restaurant. And with an item on the menu called the Hangover Bowl, it was a match made in heaven (or a wedding chapel on the strip-we’ll find out tomorrow).

9. Island Flavor

Island Flavor is a taste of Hawaii blended with chef Darcy Ambrosio’s western influences. The result is a delicious, intriguing foodie restaurant that is a must-try if you are in Vegas and like Hawaiian food. Ox Tail Soup, Kim Chee Tako Poke, and 9th Island Poke Bombs Samplah highlight the menu that is sure to have something that interests you.

10. Jaburritos

Sushi burritos are the new wave, and Jaburritos is riding it. With menu items inspired by different beaches such as Huntington, Mission, Wakiki, and Redondo, their sushi burritos bring a unique flair to Asian food as you know it. They didn’t forget about the drinks, either, as it is located at the Linq on the Strip. You can try Sake Sangria, Sake bombs, or draft beers!
