We’ve all had those nights where we get a little too drunk. And what follows in the morning? A hangover from Hell. Here are some tricks to help you alleviate the pain.
A great way to avoid a hangover is to eat a meal before you start drinking. Try to drink water in between alcoholic drinks, plus a bunch before bed.
Foods like cereal, toast, and crackers are easy to digest and great for when you’re feeling queasy.
This is another great way to cure nausea, by neutralizing stomach acid.
Regardless of whether you have a hangover or not, coffee is a great way to wake up. Beware though, because this is personal preference. Coffee can both cure and cause headaches, so take it slow when trying this method for the first time.
Again, drink lots of water and/or sports drinks to help hydrate your body and flush out your hangover from Hell. Hydration is key to avoid headaches and shakiness.
Pain relievers like Advil and Tylenol are well known cures for hangovers. Take one the morning you wake up and it should help the aches and pains. Be careful on an empty stomach though, as it could make your nausea spike (and potentially make you sick).
Exercise won’t necessarily help burn off the alcohol but the release of endorphins can help lift and improve your mood. Don’t be afraid to sweat!
