Remember back in the day when you’d hear the far-off sound of music playing? As it got closer and closer, your heartbeat began to quicken. Your mouth began to salivate and the prospect of a sweet treat in the middle of the day. It was our favorite ice cream truck ice creams there to save the day! Also, by back in the day, I mean last Tuesday. Because we all still love a frozen dessert at 2 p.m. and the ice cream truck still is a magic on wheels.
One thing that has never changed regarding the ice cream truck is how freaking hard it is to pick what you want. Standing in front of the menu with endless options, but with only a dollar in your hand. How on Earth do you pick?! Do you go for something fruity or something chocolatey? Why can’t you get one of each??? UGH! Well, fear not! Here are my favorite ice cream truck ice creams to help you decide what to get next time it rolls through your ‘hood.
This is one of my go-to’s. The hard chocolate shell with crunchy peanuts, the creamy vanilla ice cream and to top the whole thing off the chocolate tip of the cone! This is a great option for those days when you want a no-fuss treat.
Make it Fourth of July every day with this patriotic pop! Each layer is a different flavor and they’re all amazing. If I had to pick one of these from this list, this would be it!
This one is for all the chocolate lovers out there. It’s the fanciest of the ice cream tuck options, so if you’re a classy lady who has a sweet tooth, here ya go!
Hey, if you don’t like chocolate that’s okay too! There’s a fruity version that’s just as good. It’s honestly so hard to pick between these two flavors that if you’re really craving for a sweet, get both!
Half the appeal of this one is getting to push up the tangy goodness. The other half is the fact that it tastes so sweet! If you’ve been craving an orange soda, this will do the trick for you.
Granted, these never come out looking like their packaging, but that’s kind of the appeal. When you pull out SpongeBob’s poor deformed head with only one eyeball, you can’t help but smile.
