Drinks in cans are great for when you’re having a party on the go, but what about all those summer soirees you’re hosting out of your home? Here are the best summer cocktail recipes to suit any party you might be having!
First off, we have a curve ball. Whiskey might not be the traditional alcohol that we associate with summer, but don’t let that stop you from trying this cocktail – the Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade! Berries by nature are a bit tart, but with the mixture that this recipe recommends your taste buds are in for a treat!
When I was looking for new recipes, I was struck by the unique color of this drink. What could make a drink that amazing fuchsia color? The answer is blueberries. Blueberries, mint and rum make for a unique drink that will have your friends begging for the recipe.
Now that sounds like summertime! This cocktail has a tropical flavor that you just can’t say no to. In addition to that, you can add edible flowers for extra pizzazz.
Getting frozen Cokes from the 7/11 used to be one of my favorite treats. Now, being of legal drinking age, I can enjoy the adult version of a frozen Coke and add rum to my drink. Captain and Cokes just got cooler.
Hawaiian Mimosas taste as good as they sound! If you can’t guess the ingredients from the pic below, then you can find the recipe here. The classic mimosa is great, but tropical flavors always make alcohol go down easier in the summertime.
Shark Bait… no wait, that’s Finding Nemo. This one is called Shark Bite! Summer cocktail recipes are meant to make you feel tropical and fun–not in danger. Rum, pineapple juice, and a little blue curacao to make you wish you were sitting on a beach (but safely away from an actual shark bite!).
Sangria is great in just about any form: liquid, frozen or full of fruit. But it’s also great with other flavors. This Strawberry-Lemon White Sangria that tastes just like punch.
Who doesn’t love a good mule? I mean the Moscow kind, not the crossbreed you might find on a farm. The strawberry and lime in this cocktail will perfectly complement the ginger beer Moscow mules are known for.
Rum might be the most popular liquor for summertime, but we can’t leave out other spirits! Gin isn’t for everyone, but I guarantee that you’ll be willing to give it a try after sampling the Strawberry Mint Gin and Tonic. Many people wish that G&T’s were on the sweeter side. This fruity twist is the answer to your prayers.
Finally, we have a drink is all about being minty fresh. Between the lemon and the mint, you won’t even need gum before your date. And maybe you can get them to try the Vodka & Mint Lemonade!
