Actor James Earl Jones wanted to be a doctor when he was younger. While this never came to fruition in real life, he did get to play doctors on TV and in movies.

2. Denzel Washington

Can you imagine him not being an actor? Denzel Washington once wanted to be a journalist, even getting his degree in journalism from Fordham University.

3. George Clooney

George Clooney wanted to be a professional baseball player when he was growing up. He even tried out for the Cincinnati Reds at one point.

This Hunger Games actress says that if she was not an actress, she would be a doctor. However, she has said that she does not know if she has the focus needed to make it through medical school.

George Lucas has the need for speed. Growing up, he had the yearning to be a racecar driver, but when he was racing in high school, he had a racing accident that nearly killed him, he lost interest.
