Fictional female characters come in all shapes and sizes; some are from different planets, and some live in Connecticut. Find out which of these women match your zodiac sign below!
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Lorelai Gilmore is a fictional female who is dynamic and bright. Don’t be fooled. This single mother has more than her fair share of wit and humour about her. She’s stubborn too, with her unwillingness to shift in her ways, no matter how much her parents may push. She can clash with the daughter she loves, and she’s not perfect, but it’s her imperfections are what make her the television icon many love (and some love to hate).
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Catching criminals is your niche, and with your stubborn and hardworking nature, it comes easily. You’re just like Jennifer “J.J” Jareau. As part of the BAU (Behavioural Analysis Unit), she’s a pro at catching dangerous foe, clueing-in the media, and keeping up a healthy home relationship with her husband and two kids. Meanwhile, I’m tired just typing that sentence.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
As a kind and versatile human, you’re just like Princess Leia Organa (later, Senator and General Leia). The daughter of an evil father, Leia never knew her mother, or twin-brother until much later in life! This didn’t stop her from gaining a legion of loyal followers, maintaining peace (or trying to) across the galaxy, and becoming a general.
Cancer (June 21 – July 20)
She has her head in books and her mind on protecting her sisters. Her heart is her own, that is until she meets Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth Bennet is a smart and witty individual who cares more about being book-smart than any man. She may be quick to judge, but she always finds the answer in the end.
Leo (July 20 – August 22)
Sarah Connor is a loyal mother, who is more than capable of looking after her son John. Too bad no one believes her when she speaks of a Terminator. Not only can she break out of an asylum, but this fictional female can also save the species from destruction. In case that’s not enough, she also gave birth to the leader of the human Resistance.
Virgo (August 25 – September 22)
Merida doesn’t want to be a bride, she’s quite happy being the best archer in the Highlands. Not only is she shooting for her own hand, but she’s also saving her mother and three brothers from permanently becoming bears. How did this come about? It’s a long story, but like many in the Disney/Pixar world, it involves a witch. With her loyal and confident mindset, Merida proves that she can beat any male from any clan and stop a curse.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
She’s got her eyes on the prize, even if she changes her mind. Elle Woods is the all-pink, all-blonde Harvard alumni. Elle follows in her ex-boyfriend’s footsteps in the hopes of winning him back, little does she know it is him who’ll be begging her by the end of this feisty and funny movie.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 22)
She’s out to stop the enemy. First, she has to remember who it is. When you’re stuck in an arena with 23 children out to kill you, it’s hard to know who the real enemy is. Katniss Everdeen is out to protect her sister, her District, and her heart. Unfortunately, not all of these remain intact, but Katniss’ passionate and brave dispositions keep them going for as long as possible.
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21)
She came from nothing, is loyal to her family, and is a seriously good role model for all women—her name is Cookie, and she’s a badass female (too bad she’s fictional). Catch Cookie Lyon (played by Taraji P. Henson) on Empire. Not only is she a part of the Empire Enterprises, but her drug money funded the whole operation. She’s the reason for her family’s success, and she won’t let them forget it.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
As a tenacious and independent person, it’s easy to see that you’re most like Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers. Saving the world and being a seriously good Air Force pilot is nothing to her. Harness those powers and fight the forces of evil, girl!
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
When she’s not working out her telekinesis, Matilda spends her time reading. Don’t worry; Matilda only uses her powers for good. By good I mean going against her mean, old parents and the grumpy Mrs. Trunchbull. Defending her classmates is all in a day’s work.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Hermione Granger is the smartest witch of her time. This fictional female is loyal to her friends, and a great cat-mother to Crookshanks. When she doesn’t have her head in books, she’s helping her friends fight the most evil wizard in the world, saving the house-elves from enslavement, and being a member of the Order of the Pheonix—but her biggest fear is getting expelled.
