What To Do When Going To Disney World

What is a vacation that can be exhilarating, youthful, and will pack every single on of your days with fun? This is, of course, a vacation to Disney World. In Orlando, Florida, Disney World has always been a hot spot for people on vacation. There are so many different attractions in Disney World that it would probably take many days, maybe veen over a week to see everything once. There are crazy rides, tasty restaurants, entertaining events, and so much more. This is the vacation of a lifetime, so you have to make sure your prepared. You do not want to look back on your vacation and think of it as a disaster. Don’t take the inherent excitement of Disney World for granted. There is a lot you need to do to make sure this vacation goes well. If you are planning on going to Disney World, here are some trips to make the most magical place on Earth feel magical to you.

1. Make Plans Ahead Of Time

Disney World is not the type of place where you can just show up and figure everything out. This theme park is huge and can be pretty overwhelming. If you just show up, you are going to get lost and confused pretty quickly. That is why you need to make sure to plan everything ahead of time. First, you need to think about how many days you are planning on staying. This will affect your schedule a lot. Do some research and see which places look the best to you. You shouldn’t force yourself to do everything, so choose carefully. Strategize based on what is close to each other. Book all of your tickets and reservations before you get there so that you won’t be stressed at all. This should be done a while ahead of time. Even a week before your trip could be cutting it close as things book quickly. It would probably be best to do your planning a couple months ahead of time. Have those schedules ready everyday you go to the park so that you always know where you are going and so that your trip runs smoothly.

2. Carry A Map

This is a theme park unlike any you have ever been to before. Disney World is like many different theme parks wrapped into one. It can be a little puzzling after a while and it is not hard to get lost at Disney World. You are never going to get to your plans if you never know where you are going. That is why you should make sure that you have a map with you. There will be maps available at the park, but it is also a smart idea to find one online too, just in case. This will help you figure out what direction you are going, where you next stop is, and what attraction you are by at the moment. Plus, if you are starting to get hungry or need to use the restroom, a map can help you satisfy your needs. It might also be in your best interest to have multiple maps for your group, or for yourself in case you somehow lose yours. You don’t want to spend your day walking in circles. With your map, your day will be filled with nonstop fun.

3. Stay At A Disney World Hotel

Since a lot of your vacation will be in one place, you don’t want to be too far from that place. You may find some decent hotels nearby, but you can’t get any close than the Disney World hotels. These are all hotels sponsored by Disney and they will all make sure every second of your trip is spectacular. Each hotel will help take care of any Park transportation you need, even though walking could work. All of the hotels also have some fun themes. You can go to the Wilderness Lodge for a nature theme, the All Star Movies resort for a big film fan, or something like the Grand Floridian if you want a more classic theme. This is also a great place to buy some merch while avoiding the merch lines you would get at Disney World. Research all of the hotels and see what works best for your group, or see which park the hotel is closest to if you want to make things easy. From the moment you wake up, your Disney vacation will be in motion.

4. Spread Everything Out

This is a time for you to have fun, but there is such a thing as too much fun. You might think about getting as many rides done as possible, and then trying to do them over and over again. This may sound cool in theory, but it won’t be in practice. You are eventually going to get tired and you may get a headache after a while. That is why you need tou spread everything out. Try to only do a couple rides a day, and know that it is okay if you don’t get to all of the rides or go on your favorite ones multiple times. Try to squeeze some breaks in so you can take some rest after all of the action. The best way to spread everything out is through separating the different parks. Disney World has multiple parks of different themes, such as Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, etc. You should probably only focus on one park each day, maybe even for multiple days depending on the trip length. If everything is separated you will have the perfect amount of thrills.

5. Download The Genie Plus App

Despite the excitement of going to a theme park, the experience is not going to be a piece of cake. There is all of the planning beforehand, and then there is some stress when you get there. You have to wait in long lines, go all over the place as quickly as possible, and try to make sure that everyone is happy. That is why Disney World now has the Genie Plus app. This is an app that is designed to make sure you have the best Disney World vacation ever. A lot can be done with this app. You are able to plug in your itinerary so you are able to see if you are on schedule throughout the day. You can get some recommendations in case there were things that you missed. You are also able to check out line times on the app to see when certain rides are crowded, as well as when certain restaurants are crowded. There is also the lightning lane feature on the app that will help you get through some of these lines a little quicker. A lot can be done with this app so that you can have a relaxing time.

6. Check The Weather Every Day

Your experiences could vary based on many different circumstances. Overall, you want to make sure that you have an experience that is full of relaxation. If you are at all uncomfortable, you are not going to have a very good trip. That is why you need to plan for everything when thinking about your Disney World vacation. This includes the weather. You may not be able to plan for this that far in advance, but at least think about it before you arrive. If it is going to be really hot out, make sure you have a lot of sunscreen, sun hats, and maybe some mini fans. This could also be a day where you squeeze in a trip to the water park. If it is going to be raining, make sure you pack some umbrellas, raincoats, and see if there are any indoor shows or events that you can see to get out of the rain. If you don’t think about the weather, it could end up ruining your trip. See what your days look like so that you don’t have to worry about anything unexpected.

7. Stick With Your Group

If you are going on your trip with multiple people, then you will want to have your adventure with those people. This Disney World vacation is about all of you sharing an experience. Once someone gets separated it halts your adventure and you have to figure out how to get back to each other. Or worse, the remaining group members keep going on with their day and the lost member misses out on some great moments. That is why you need to figure out a system to stay with your group. You can always wear matching t-shirts to see each other in the crowd. It may seem a little cheesy, but it can be effective. If that is not your style, at least try to wear something bright and noticeable so that you can be spotted easily. Your group should also come up with some areas in the park to meet up if someone gets separated. That way, instead of going around in circles looking for each other, there is a spot where you know that you will all get back together. Enjoy your group trip so that you can make some wonderful memories with some wonderful people.
