10 Ways To Decorate Your Apartment With Plants

Springtime is just around the corner and most of us can’t wait to get out of hibernation mode and into the sunshine and the wild outdoors! If you’re a plant lover, there are so many ways to brighten up your apartment by bringing your garden indoors and decorating with plants! This does not mean getting an occasional flower bouquet for your kitchen table, keeping different kinds of live plants in your home can really help to circulate the air, freshen your space, and they also look great with most decor, adding a nature-filled vibe. Here are ten ways to decorate your apartment with plants!

1. Let Your Plants Grow Wild

The best feeling you get when gardening is seeing what you plant grow! Climbing figs and many ivy plants tend to grow long and fast and can look great when hung up properly indoors. Try placing the plant so that it wraps around your door frame for a jungle-like entrance!

2. Window Plants

For plants that need lots of sunlight, try adding extra shelves that hook directly onto the windows or find a small table to place your plants on. This is a good area to keep any herbs for cooking, aloe, and other small plants. Pick out bright-colored pots to really show off your green thumb!

3. Hanging Plants

These hanging macrame plant holders have made quite a sensation on the web and Instagram for obvious reasons! They are totally unique and make give off this anti-gravity feel to the room and go really well with any boho decor! An added bonus is that they keep your plants off the ground if you have pets that like to chew them up!

4. Floating Shelves for Small Plants

These floating shelves are perfect for your smaller plants and is also a great DIY project for those of you creative plant lovers! Hang these in front of a window so that your plants get plenty of light and for an added green ambience in your living room!

5. Plant Terrariums

These plants are super cute, elegant features to add anywhere in your apartment from your coffee table to your hallways, and even your bedroom dresser! They are like tiny aquarium tanks for small plants like cacti and succulents and are fairly easy to maintain if you tend to forget to water bigger plants.

6. Plants and Spring Decor

If you don’t want to fill your whole house with plants, even just a few pots here and there can really liven the room combined with plant paintings and other decors. Go for plants that help purify the air like spider plants and aloe vera so that it always feels like you’re walking through a meadow in your own apartment!

7. Repurpose Old Furniture For Your Plants

Another great DIY project is to repurpose old furniture like this small, wooden ladder to stack a variety of your favorite plants on! Place in a nice, well-lit corner or as a centerpiece in your living room to get all your guests talking!
