The Best Places For Cocktails In Glasgow

Glasgow was voted the city of culture in 2013 but it’s definitely come a long way since, with a new flare for specialist and flamboyant cocktail like never seen before. Here are some of the best places you can go for cocktails in Glasgow, from both well known establishments and the city’s next worst kept secrets.

1. The Butchershop Bar And Grill

Known already for their delicious burgers and steaks, The Butcher shop Bar And Grill actually has a pretty cool cocktail list with some really unique features. Why not kick back with a lovely view of the Kelvingrove park or art gallery whilst sipping on one of their distinctive Chilli Chocolate Old Fashioneds?

2. Panther Milk

This place isn’t quite a speak easy bar but it definitely harbours some sort of similar secretive vive as you follow the neon signs through the fire exit 0f another bar, even more so that it’s only open on Friday and Saturdays. Although the small joint’s vibe is secretive, the bar staff are more than welcoming and happy to tell you the story behind each of their signature cocktails. Be sure to try their signature blend made up of rum, gin, Cointreau, condensed milk and a mix of warming spices!

Looking for cocktails in Glasgow’s Merchant City? Why not pop into the 158 Club Lounge at Hutchensons where you can sample a range of cutting edge cocktails, both signature and classic, in a place where the decor pays homage to old school Glasgow glamour. Just to make the experience even more unique or memorable, you can even take advantage of the venue’s renowned shellfish experience.

4. Missoula

This place is a favourite for those who enjoy good cocktails in Glasgow and not spending much money at the same time, with half price deals running from Sunday – Thursday on all cocktails. How’s that for a bargain? Be sure to visit if you like a cheap and delicious cocktail with a national twist.

5. Lucky 7

This Bath Street bar has a cheeky feel to it when they say they only make the drinks they would like to drink to make themselves and that these drinks mostly include rum and gin “because everybody loves run and gin”.  But it’s warranted because, to be honest, they do it well. So go down and try one or all of their seven cocktails on the menu, be it a Candy Floss Martini, a Very Berry Mojito or an Apple and Cucumber Collins. Drinks are half price Tuesday to Thursday so you easily could try them all if you time your visit well.
