The Best Accidentally Vegan Treats You’ll Love

These vegan treats are amazingly delicious, and surprisingly entirely plant-based! Here is a list of accidentally vegan snacks you'll love!

Veganism is taking over the world! It is a lifestyle which takes a high level of resilience and commitment, making it something you should want BOTH your body and mind to accept! With this being said, veganism only seems to be growing in its trendiness, consequently making non- vegans believers as well! As vegans are not allowed any sort of dairy or meat, it goes without saying that their diet is quite restricted. However, with this comes the element of creativity and also doing your research into the vegan treats you can have as pure plant based eaters.

We all love a quick and easy treat every now and again. You know, when you are really hungry and tired and you just NEED something to satisfy your hunger in a flash. Well, being vegan means that you can’t just grab any old chocolate bar or bag of crisps around because of the issue regarding diary. This means that being vegan makes it just a bit harder to go to your local shop and grab a snack to munch on without second thinking anything. Consequently, to make it easy for all you vegans and practising vegans out there, here is a list of some products that are vegan treats which you CAN find in your local super markets…

1. Pringles

If you love to snack on something savoury, pringles are the way to go! They are crunchy, salty and absolutely delicious! Keep in mind that the original and BBQ flavoured pringles are vegan and the rest contain dairy in them! There is a lot of them to munch on in a pack when you are craving a salty snack, making them a must have in any vegan’s snack cupboard!

2. ‘Free From’ Range In Tesco

The ‘free from’ ranges in all supermarkets make it extremely easy for us vegans to get our assortment of treats. If you are going to this section make you choose the ‘free from’ range that includes milk and eggs and also wheat and gluten if you are intolerant to those things. My absolute favs from this range include the chocolate chip cookies, the chocolate bar, as well as the milk chocolate and white chocolate buttons… yumm! Going to this section in your local supermarket means that all the work has been done for you and you don’t have to spend minutes scanning through all the ingredients to make sure they are dairy free! These ‘free from’ products are therefore convenient and oh so tasty, making them the perfect vegan treats to feast upon!

3. Bournville

If you are feeling luxurious and want to really treat yourself then you should definitely purchase a bar of Bournville chocolate. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a form of dark chocolate produced by everyone’s favourite chocolate cooperation- Cadbury! It DOESN’T have any milk in it and has about 36% of cocoa, making it healthier than a standard dairy chocolate bar which would normally have about 25% of cocoa. This is just the perfect treat for when you have guests/ friends round- dark chocolate is highly fancy in itself, let alone it being vegan so it will be sure to impress everyone, making it the right treat for a girls night in!

4. Bourbons

Everyone loves a cup of tea but it goes without saying that you cannot have tea without a decent biscuit on the side! With this being said, bourbons are a British classic and a true favourite amongst the masses! They are crunchy, sweet, chocolatey and not to mention COMPLETELY vegan! Yes, you heard that right they have no eggs, butter or milk in them making them dairy free and consequently a vegan’s trusted tea time treat!

5. Biscoff Spread

Now this is my absolute favourite treat of all time. A biscoff spread is made from the traditional (vegan) biscuit- biscoff. The unique taste stems from the sugar’s caramelization during the baking process, and a hint of cinnamon and other spices add that special something! It is known as Europe’s favourite biscuit with coffee and also comes in a spread! The spread comes in ‘crunchy’- which has crunched up pieces of the actual biscuit inside, to the ‘smooth’ spread which is just a blended up paste of the original biscuit. Nevertheless, they are both highly indulgent and will satisfy ANY sort of sweet craving! All you need to do is spread it over some toast- or my personal favourite, eat it straight out with a spoon and enjoy the sweet biscuit taste for yourselves!

6. Jus- Rol Cinnamon Swirls Dough and Pain Au Chocolat Dough

Jus- Rol have created a winning idea with their ALREADY rolled out pastry treats! All the leg work has been done with these products and all that is needed from its consumer is to just cut and shape the dough and put them in the oven to bake! How easy right? They are such a treat for vegans as all pastries you get in the shops are full of butter but these merely have margarine in them which is made from vegetable oil! They are a quick and easy way to do ‘some’ baking, making them a baked good that you can actively help produce yourself as well as being a treat which is truly mouth-watering and delicious! This is for sure a scrumptious vegan friendly treat that will make you feel somewhat like a baker! 😉
