Stationery lovers will love London. It’s filled with amazing stationery shops that will match any person’s needs and preferences. Whether you are into vibrant, funny, fancy, minimalistic or artistic – London has you covered. These five stationery shops will excite any stationery lover!
Paperchase is a classic. It is the most well-known stationery shop, with lots of locations all over the city. Stationery lovers will be drawn to their big and diverse ranges. They have everything from fabulous fluffy pens and glitter notebooks to simple classic stationery ranges.
They opened an outlet store at the O2 Arena at North Greenwich, so if you are a stationery lover looking to get your hands on some very affordable stationery, head on over there. If you are looking for diversity and range, visit their flagship store at Tottenham Court Road.
This beautiful and colourful shop has a few locations around London, including Shoreditch, Chelsea and since recently – Kings Cross. The Shoreditch store is a very trendy pink, while the Chelsea and Kings Cross stores both feature wood and exposed brick. All of them are very easy on the eyes!
Aside from having amazing stationery and some of the best pens I’ve ever used, this shop is arranged in such a mesmerising way. You will find equipment for calligraphy, great journals, and colourful pencils. Not only stationary lovers will want to visit Papersmiths, as they have some great homeware such as lovely candles and prints, as well as some great cards!
Even experienced stationery lovers probably don’t know this one. Slanchogled is a great arts and crafts shop in Camden, which is part of a Bulgarian chain. The name literally translates to sunflower, but it also means “looking towards the sun”, which is how the company approaches art. It is a great place for stationery lovers, professional and aspiring artists and anyone with a craft-related hobby.
They also offer gift wrapping and organise workshops. In this store, the stationery lover will find beautiful notebooks from a variety of styles, sketchbooks, great pens for drawing and writing, and so much more. The atmosphere is very relaxed and makes you feel inspired and connected to nature with all the recycled materials and natural wood throughout the shop.
4. Choosing Keeping
Stationary lovers will drool over the range of fancy pens, notebooks, decorative paper, art and office supplies, and the overall decor of the place. The front of the store looks like something that came out of Diagon Alley. Keep in mind that the items in this store can be on the expensive side. However, don’t be discouraged as their range of prices is big. You can get a fountain pen for £20 pounds or £200, a notebook for £8 or £50.
Take a look around and enjoy being surrounded by some of the most beautiful patterns in any stationery store. This is a great place to go if you are looking to buy a present for a stationery lover.
Quill is especially targeted at calligraphers and letter writers, though any stationery lover will love the place. Because they cater to calligraphers, their style is really minimalist and helps accentuate the contents. They also offer personalised stationery that would be the perfect present for any stationery lover. You can choose from a range of notecards, gift tags or even a wax seal. You can also add your initials to some of their notebooks!
If you are into minimalism, calligraphy or letter-writing, this is the perfect store for you.
