How To Create A Killer Pride Outfit
It’s official, pride season is well and truly in full swing, with some of the biggest pride events still yet to come, such as Manchester, London and Brighton pride. So here we have put together some key tips to help you create an absolute killer pride outfit to wear to all the events this year!
Whether you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community yourself or you are an ally attending pride events to show your support for the community, you must know that pride is all about being as colourful, flamboyant and just generally yourself as you possibly can. It’s absolutely vital that whatever you wear, you express your true self through your outfit, so sift through these key things and find what speaks for you best and then go out there and march, dance and sing while being proud and supportive AF!
1. As Much Colour As Possible
We all know that pride is all about colour – be it the famous rainbow or the pride flag itself. Your outfit should be as wild and out there as possible, combining bright and beautiful colours that are as extra as possible. Don’t be afraid to go all out, pride is one of the least judgemental events you’ll ever attend and it’s all about being seen and heard and doing and wearing whatever the heck you want, so take it as an opportunity to go wild. Either be completely yourself or take it as an opportunity to go way out of your comfort zone – just do you and keep it as colourful as possible!

2. Glitter, Glitter and More Glitter
Realistically, who doesn’t love a bit of glitter? It’s cute, it’s fun and it just looks so good on! Face glitter is really hot right now, and it isn’t just for Coachella and Glastonbury, it is most certainly for pride too. Experiment! Test out some cool glitter eyeshadow looks, or jewel looks across your cheeks. Alternatively, why not try body glitter or even glitter in your hair? You always know you’ve had a good time when you’re still finding glitter all over yourself days after an event.

3. Accessories
Pride is all about accessories, be it bum bags, huge flags, whistles, hats, anything you like really. Some people go all out with banners and flags for the marches, and some bring water guns, shot glass necklaces and whistles for the parties. Whatever accessories you like, get some for pride and wear them or wave them proud! Also, be sure to buy yourself some cool pride merchandise and accessories whilst you’re there, as often the money from these items is donated to charities that support LGTBQ+ people.

Bottom line is, no matter what you wear or don’t wear and what you do or don’t do, be yourself. Pride is all about being proud to be who you are, so be sure to express that through your outfit and it’ll instantly be a killer one.
