The Los Angeles Fourth Of July Events You Need To Go To

If you’re going to be in Los Angeles for the Fourth of July, you’re in for a treat. Events are happening across town, as America’s entertainment capital celebrates our country’s birthday. Here are a few of the festivities you might want to go to in LA on the Fourth.

‘Merica Fest — Angel City Brewery

From 4—10 pm on July 3rd, and noon—6 pm on July 4th, Angel City Brewery is hosting a special Independence Day celebration. Wear your favorite red, white, and blue items as you enjoy some of America’s most time-honored traditions; barbecue and beer. DJ Daddy Pants takes the stage from 7—10 pm on July 3rd, and a full day of music is featured on the day of, hosted by Abby and the Myth. Food is courtesy of Downtown Taco and Downtown Doggo. If you’re looking for a party, Angel City Brewery is the place to be.

Dodgers Vs. Pirates — Dodger’s Stadium

Spend the Fourth indulging in America’s favorite pastime; baseball. The Dodgers invite you to join them celebrate on the Fourth of July with a home game at the Dodger Stadium. They’ll be playing the Pittsburgh Pirates, and fireworks will be featured after the game, sponsored by Budweiser.

Fourth of July Block Party — Grand Park

Nowhere does July Fourth bigger and better than Grand Park. Widely known as LA’s largest free Fourth of July celebration, it offers fun for friends and the whole family. Spend the day picnicking, playing games, making art, listening to music, dancing, and watching fireworks. DJs and live music will be played throughout the day from two stages, and fireworks are set off at 9 pm, visible from all of Downtown LA and it’s surrounding neighborhoods.

Mr. & Ms. Muscle Beach — Venice Beach

Head to Venice Beach for a classic Independence Day, and stop by Muscle Beach to watch it’s annual bodybuilding and figure competition take place. Pre-judging begins at 10 am, with the final taking place at 1 pm; there’s a $100 entrance fee for anyone who wants to participate, but watching the contest is free of charge. Stop by and catch a few of Venice’s most ripped contenders, and then head to the beach for a day spent in the sun.

July 4th Late Night & BBQ — Aquarium of the Pacific

This even takes place at the Aquarium of the Pacific between 5 and 10 pm, with barbecue seating starting at 6. Spend the night in a way you’ve probably never spent it before; with some unique sea creatures as well as an all-American barbecue. Catch a view of the Queen Mary fireworks display while you’re at it.

All-American 4th of July — The Queen Mary

Board the historic Queen Mary for an unforgettable night of fun for Independence Day this year. The ship’s annual celebration features entertainment, games, arts and crafts, tours, a patriotic movie screening, fireworks, and more. The fireworks display is known to be otherworldly, with the Pacific Ocean and SoCal sky as the backdrop. Tickets begin at $44 per adult, and go up to $99 for premium firework viewing; and children under 3 are free!

2019 4th of July 5K & 10K — Los Angeles

Start your day off right with a virtual race this Fourth of July! A virtual race means that you can complete the run any time, anywhere; you run your own race, and your medal gets shipped to you upon proof of completion. It costs $20, which goest towards making your medal and shipping it. Additionally, 15% each registration goes to HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS, an organization that builds homes for injured veterans. Not only will you be getting some exercise in, you’ll be helping Americans who fought for our country.
