Sustainable Brands That Are Cute AF

Sustainable brands should be what everyone is wearing these days. What better way to help the planet than by choosing products are that produced in an ethical manner and using sustainable fabrics? Here are some sustainable brands that hopefully you like enough to try out!

Boyish Jeans

You may not even know this, but jeans are some of the worst items to produce in terms of their effect on the environment. Regular jeans use approximately 1800 gallons of water to make one pair which is an absurd waste. Boyish Jeans prides themselves in being one of the first sustainable brands to specialize in denim. The brand uses 1/3 of the amount of water to create their products while also using sustainable fabrics and being cruelty-free. Their clothes are very well priced and also very fashionable as well, making them a fantastic brand all-around.

Allbirds

Dubbed “The World’s Most Comfortable Shoe”, Allbirds prides themselves in doing what’s best for the environment in every step of production from the fabrics used to the shipping methods. They believe that every person and brand should take accountability for what they do to the planet, and I have to agree with this. Not only are these shoes insanely comfortable, they’re a super versatile shoe that you can mix and match with a variety of outfits.

Reformation

This brand doesn’t only put an effort towards helping the environment in terms of the recycled materials used for their products, they also offer incentives to switch to far more environmentally-friendly alternatives such as wind energy. Their clothes are made from materials such as repurposed clothing and are chic and easy to wear every day. They carry all kinds of clothes from dresses and shoes to bodysuits and so much more.

Patagonia

While they may not be 100% sustainable as of right now, their mission statement acknowledges their valiant efforts towards this goal: “Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis”. Patagonia’s clothing is extremely durable and can be used for those of you who love the outdoors and being active or as more casual wear. Patagonia is fair-trade certified as of right now and is actively working to become one of many entirely sustainable brands.

People Tree

This brand prides itself in being one of the pioneers in sustainable and fair-trade fashion. People Tree has just about anything to fulfill your clothing needs and all of it is made using organic cotton. The brand aims to cause the least harm possible to the farmers growing the cotton, the environment and those making their garments. They have a whole section on their website about all of the materials they use and how their clothes are made and this transparency on top of cute clothing is what makes this one of my favourite sustainable brands.

Eileen Fisher

While you might associate this brand with older women, it actually has all kinds of cute pieces that tend to be overlooked. The brand has a program titled “Vision 2020”; This is a program that aims to have the brand be entirely sustainable and advocate in their practices for human rights. Their fibers, colour, resources and treatment of employees are just a few of the aspects they aim to switch over to entirely environmentally and socially friendly processes. This is one of few sustainable brands thus far to offer plus size and petite clothing sizes, giving you all the more reason to support this inclusive brand.
