10 Summer Beauty Looks You’ll Want To Copy To Heat Things Up

With Spring almost upon us and Summer looming, it’s time to ditch your dark and muted tones for bright colors that will leave a lasting impression. I’ve listed 10 summer beauty looks to try in Summer ’19 that will be sure to heat things up.

1. Bright ‘n bold eyeshadow

Perhaps the biggest trend to look out for this summer is bright eyeshadow. Reminiscent of the ’80s, all this look requires is painting the entirety of your lid in one bold color; do the rest of your makeup as you normally would.  Bright hues, such as neon blues, pinks, and purples, will be sure to lighten up your look on a warm day.

2. Sparkles

Whether you’re using them on your body, lips, or eyes, sparkles are here to stay. They’ll be sure to catch someone’s eye in the summer sun, wherever you choose to put them. I personally recommend the Stila liquid glitter eyeshadow; there are dozens of shades, and are easily applicable. But you can indulge this trend with sparkling gloss or a shiny highlighter as well; whatever feels right.

3. Classic red lip

If you’re at a loss for which look to go for, the classic red lip never fails to impress. Swipe on your favorite bold, bright red, pair it with polished skin and black mascara, and you’re good to go. You’ll make an impact with minimal effort.

4. Brushed up brows

Bushy brows have been trending for a few years now, but gone are the times where they had to be thick and threaded to perfection. This summer, fashion is celebrating natural brows. Brush them up with Benefit’s 24 hour brow setter and pair it with your favorite makeup.

5. Melted lip stain

The easy way to get this summer look? Suck on a popsicle for ten minutes. The more refined way? Grab your favorite red lip stain and apply to the center of your lips. Then, blot, blend, and dab the color up and around your lips. The color will last for hours and will look effortlessly beautiful.

6. Color-popping mascara

If you’re feeling a little wild but not willing to commit to a bright eyeshadow, a good compromise is colorful mascara. You can find any number of bold colors that will not only elongate your lashes but also give your makeup a pop.

7. Beachy bronzer

Swap out your trusty blush for a bronzer this summer. Swipe your favorite tan hue onto your cheekbones for a “I just took the best nap on the beach” look. Slightly more sun-kissed than your typical “no makeup” makeup, this look will leave your skin looking dewey and delicate in no time.

8. Glossy lips

Take it back to the 00’s this summer with some ultra-glossy lips. I personally recommend either the Buxom lip gloss, which comes in dozens of shades, or the Too Faced clear lip injections gloss. Both will plump your lips to pouty perfection while also making them shine.

9. Sunset eyes

The name is pretty self explanatory; use your eyes as a canvas to paint a picture perfect sunset. Blend your favorite mix of reds, oranges, and yellows onto your eyelids. Nostalgia to the max, this look is a vacation in itself.

10. Polished skin

This trend is all year ’round, but I felt the need to include it because it’s always something simple to fall back on when you aren’t feeling adventurous. Use your favorite concealer, followed by BB cream or foundation to create flawless skin. Pair it with some simple mascara and gloss, and you’ve completed the perfect “no makeup” makeup.
