2. The Good Stuff

Food and snacks make or break any and all get togethers. No snacks? Then count us out. Once you decide on a theme, then you can build everything else around that. Great options to always have at a party are finger foods and little nibbly bits. Charcuterie boards, chips and dip, and veggies are all classic snack foods to have, but maybe take it up a notch and make homemade pizzas or have a potluck! You can have each guest bring their favorite breakup comfort snack.

3. The Boozy Stuff

Wine is a must. No if, ands, or buts. Find this as an opportunity to bring out your inner bar tender and create some fun mixed drinks. Not much of a drinking crowd? Test your luck with some fun mocktails from Pinterest or YouTube.

I know what you’re thinking “There are a lot of must haves.” And to be honest you’re right! It takes a village to make something great! Décor is IMPERATIVE to a good party. Your guests are going to be shocked with how creative, quick, and easy all of your decorations were once they ask. Sometimes minimal effort is all you need to make something look good. 5. Tunes

With all this good food and delicious drink there is bound to be a little movin’ and groovin’. Don’t be the flop of the century and play your breakup playlist from your 2018 breakup. There are amazing curated playlists on Spotify and apple music that will get you and your girls in the right mood. From 90’s throwbacks and Y2K jams it’s going to be impossible to not shake it all night. Not confident in your dj’ing capabilities. Pass the aux cord to someone who can. Rule number 7 of Galentine’s day: Thou shall not go without the bops. Sorry we don’t make the rules, we just work here.

6. The Fun Stuff

We know you’re tired of saying to look back at your theme, but it really is the foundation of ANY party or gathering that you throw. Pick a theme that has an activity to go along with it. The Great Galentine’s Bake Off or Paint and Sip are great examples of themes that have an activity built into it. Crafts, baking, spa nights, karaoke, and at home pizzas are all great options when planning your theme. These themes give you the opportunity to do something fun and creative while still getting to chit chat and interact with your favorite people.
