20 Songs For Your Sizzlin’ Summer Soundtrack

What time is it? Summer time! It’s our vacation (if you know this song then you get a pat on the back)!  When I think of summer, I think of a variety of activities: going to the beach, nighttime barbecues and road trips, just to name a few. While you and I may not have the same ideas of summer fun, I think we can both agree that having a summer soundtrack to accompany your outings makes them that much more fun.

Just like there are hundreds of things to do in the summer, there are hundreds of songs and artists to discover and listen to.

What better time to do so then when you’re taking a dip in the pool, a trip to the spa, and just overall not thinking about homework? To accompany you and your summer fun, I created a playlist that I think best embodies summer.

From pop to rap to throwback hits, there is bound to be a song or two in the playlist that pairs perfectly with whatever you are doing over the summer vacation.

Whether you need something inspiring to help you get along, or you just want something to get you swingin’ on the dance floor. I tried my best to include a variety of artists genres, and hits, from old classics to more recent chart-toppers. Play the songs in order, or put them on shuffle…it’s up to you on how you want your summer vacation to sound! No matter how you decide to work it out, it’s a summer soundtrack that anyone can enjoy. Who knows, you might just find your next favorite artist!

Disclaimer: There are more than a few references to a particular classic Disney Channel movie in this summer sountrack. I apologize in advance if they get to be a bit much (although I will be very proud of you if you start belting out the song while reading this article).
