10 Shampoos For Blondes

It’s true what they say…blondes do in fact have more fun! Jokes aside, being blonde is sometimes really hard. You pay a ton of money a year to get your hair colored, you constantly have to worry about certain things ruining it, and heat is a whole other story. It’s all fun and games until you have to find a good shampoo for your luscious locks.

Blonde is truly an investment, so your shampoo has to be too. If you’re a recent blonde, are thinking about going blonde, or just need to break up with your current blonde shampoo, then keep reading. Here are the ten best blonde shampoos (some of them even on the more affordable end–score)!

1. Wella

It’s number one for a reason. While Wella is more on the expensive side, it’s best to buy the big liter sizes of it (especially if it’s on sale). I have never used the purple shampoo, but all of the products are color safe. Brilliance, comes in a red bottle and gives the best shine to your hair (which is important for blondes). The smell also lasts for days and is just so amazing all around. I cannot brag enough about this shampoo. It’s ok for everyday use too!

2. Renee Furterer

Another one of my favorites– all of Renee Furterer’s products are plant based, so the shampoos and conditioners are truly the best. The blonde shampoo is more of a runnier consistency, so don’t think something is wrong with it. If you use this once a week, your blonde will stay icy, or keep it from getting brassy. A little goes a long way with this one.

3. Mario Tricoci

I might be partially biased because I used to work there–but even if you ask anyone who has used Mario Tricoci’s hair line products, they will tell you it’s great quality! While Mario Tricoci is only in the Midwest, I suggest getting your hands on their moisturizing shampoo and smoothing conditioner. It’s the ultimate combo for blondes–especially if you have drier or brittle hair.

4. Dry Bar

Another great one. If you’ve never gotten your hair done at Dry Bar, make an appointment ASAP. The best part about the experience is the products–the blonde shampoo is something you can buy along with everything else they sell. It truly is top quality.

5. Pureology

This shampoo is great if you’re the type of person with thicker, blonde hair, that only washes their hair twice a week. Pureology is super thick and creamy, so it’s not something you want to be putting in your hair every day. Again, a little goes a long way–so don’t overdo it!

6. Kevin Murphy

Kevin Murphy sells a great all-around blonde shampoo, regardless of your hair type. Again, since it is a blonde shampoo, I wouldn’t recommend using this specific one every day. If you want an everyday shampoo, get a different a different brand that’s on the cheaper side!

Lower end / more affordable–these are for blondes balling on a budget!

7. Kristin Ess

Ess made her own hair care line after becoming famous from doing people’s hair such as Lucy Hale. Her blonde shampoo is sold at Target and is so affordable! Again, you only need to use it once or twice a week, but you can buy it more than once a month and it won’t break the bank!

8. Redken

People always seem to have an opinion on Redken, but for a lower end color-safe shampoo, it works perfectly fine! There’s nothing in it that can really ruin your hair, and it works and protects great.

9. Paul Mitchell

Paul Mitchell products are the best–it’s the best thing you can get before jumping to some of the higher priced shampoos. All of their shampoos and conditioners are color safe, and they have all different types for different hair.

10. Nexxus

I like to call Nexxus another great “high low end” hair care line. It’s not really even low end at all, it’s just not as expensive and may not have a ton of added things that Kevin Murphy might have. Nexxus is great for dry or brittle hair, because like Pureology, it’s pretty thick and creamy.
