Think different this summer when you’re picturing yourself in your Lolla outfit. The coolest part of Lollapalooza is that your parents aren’t following you through the gates. Its kind of like a precursor to college: 4 days of being on your own without supervision or responsibilities. Wear what you’re a little afraid of wearing. Here’s a hint: nobody will say a darn thing because they’re doing the same.
Last year, I watched a girl crawl on her knees, moving her fingers under clumps of mud, asking people above if they found her toenail… For your own comfort and safety, wear closed toed shoes in remembrance of this poor girl.
Guys, your Sperry’s will get ruined too. At Lollapalooza, no girl cares what is on your feet, as long as they’re not crushing her toes.
Girls, these Forever 21 lace-up combat boots are perfect for Lolla because they will help you keep track of your toenails, they won’t hit your wallet hard, and they’re durable enough that you may be able to scrape the mud off and keep them after the festival.

The Mature Guy Look is what you wear if you’re done trying to impress the guys or gals with your muscles in your cut-offs. I graduated to the Mature Guy Look after 3 Lollapaloozas, so I will not bash the guys that feel comfortable and sexy in their sleeveless or cut-off shirts (yes, there is a difference).
I love to combat the heat with a short sleeve button down shirt because you can unbutton as many of the buttons as the weather permits, or how you see fit. Warning, you will look like a middle aged tourist if you wear anything with large petalled flowers on it. For the most affordable short sleeve button down, go for Old Navy’s selection. This look CANNOT be complete without a nicer looking pair of shorts that are NOT basketball shorts. For practicality and sharpness, I always go with the Lululemon Commission Short, 9″ inseam. The 9″ inseam will hug your butt tighter, and offer you a more up to date look. Second, the short conceals two zipper pockets (one butt pocket for your phone and one coin pocket for your credit card and cash) that guarantee your valuables will stay dry and safe throughout the day.

It took me a while to understand that girls do love a cut man, but his confidence is more potent than his physique.
When choosing between a cutoff and a sleeveless shirt, there are benefits to both. I love the sleeveless tank because it will show more neck and shoulder skin than a cut-off, which I personally think is more attractive. The cut-off shirt can be any one of your several shirts that you don’t wear anymore, or that don’t fit you. This brings a cool element into your outfit because the logo on the front can be on Eno one has.
When wearing shorts with the tanks, you can do whatever you want. I am different, but I like to pull an unexpected move and wear swim trunks. The multitude of patterns and colors with swim trunks can add a whole lot of unorganized wacky to your tank top vibe.
