It’s always been an unwritten rule that a guy should always be the one to make the first move when he’s interested in a woman. Times have changed though. The new age woman is now more bold, fierce and confident in being direct by making first advances towards the guy she wants. We millennials call it “shooting your shot.” Here’s how to make the first move on a guy.

Some women though can be too timid and scared to directly approach a guy they like. A lot of times women usually refrain from making the first move out of fear of being rejected or looking thirsty. Regardless of the reason, there are smooth and subtle ways to make the first move….

Spark up a Conversation

This is the normal way of the making the first move, whether you are a guy or girl. Start up a conversation that is simple yet intriguing. That way, he’ll know you are a great conversationalist from the jump.

Compliment Him

If the guy you like is a stylish dresser, then tell him he has great style. If he smells so good that you would want to jump all over him, tell him he smells great and ask what cologne he’s wearing. I know guys are notorious for buying women drinks as their first move, so we can have buying coffee as ours. If you both are in Starbucks and he’s waiting in line behind you, buy him his venti caramel macchiato.

Have Your Friend Alley-oop

If you are just way too shy to approach the guy yourself, have your girlfriend do it for you. Guys do it for their boys all the time, so we women can too.
