No, he doesn’t need viagra to keep up, no he’s not the same age as my dad (not too far) and no he isn’t a sugar daddy. These are the three typical things I get asked about when I tell people that Kevin, the man I am in love with, is 17 years older than me. This is my story about dating an older guy and having the best sex life.
I am currently 26 years old and Kevin is 42 (he’s turning 43 next month). We have been together for two years after we dated for about 6 months. I met him at a bar near the university where I was finishing up my Masters and we really hit it off. I guess I can say that I have always found older men more attractive and really just couldn’t deal with the nonsense that came with the boys my own age.
Before I met Kevin, I had only had sex, or any sexual experience, with two other people. I was in a relationship with both of them and was never really into hooking up with people I didn’t get to know first. The first time I had sex was with someone my age at college and the second was 10 years older than me. I’ve always heard people say the older you get, the better the sex (because of experience), but I never believed it until I had sex with the man 10 years old than me. And it only got better from there.
I didn’t have sex with Kevin until we finally made ourselves official after 6 months of dating. At first, I was intimidated because he had been married (divorced for 5 years) and I didn’t think I would be experienced enough to sleep with him. But, he never made me uncomfortable and let me go at my own pace. Let me tell you, it was mind-blowing.
On the outside, most people wouldn’t guess Kevin to be any older than 35 and the way he acts is about that age; he is youthful and really just full of life. The same goes for having sex with him. We have sex about 3-4 times a week and after two years I can tell you it seems to only get better and better. Although he has more experience than me, there are things that I bring to sex that he has never tried. Don’t get me wrong, after a long day of work we may go for a quickie, but for the most part, we love to keep things new and exciting.
I get a lot of judgment from people who see us out together knowing that I’m dating an older guy, but I know that me and Kevin are in a healthy and loving relationship and that’s all that matters.
