¡Bienvenido a México! Okay, maybe not…but in my defense, who doesn’t get those random cravings for some good Mexican food? I do, that’s for sure! Lucky for you, I have found just the place to help satisfy those cravings! Get the low-down on Cemitas El Tigre. You won’t regret it!
Located at 45-14 48th Avenue in Sunnyside, New York, Cemitas El Tigre is a little bit of a trip, but truly worth it!
They are famous for their cemitas, which are also known as Mexican Dagwood. It originated in Puebla, Mexico where the sandwiches would be layered together with fresh ingredients.
Here at Cemitas El Tigre they like to take their cemitas a little bit further. You are given your choice of meat followed by your choice of fixings such as avocado, Oaxaca Cheese, pickled onions, papalo, chipotle puree, mayonnaise, black bean puree, lettuce and tomatoes! That’s a grand total of…wait for it…TEN LAYERS!
But hey, if this doesn’t make your mouth water just thinking about it like me, don’t worry, they also have a selection of tacos, burritos, craft beers, wine and milkshakes!
Make sure you take my advice and stop by! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! ¡Viva México!
