They can provide their audiences with planned out workouts with instructional videos, motivational stories, and delicious and healthy recipes. If you are unsure of how to start when approaching your fitness journey, these influencers can be a great resource for you. Here are some of the most popular fitness influencers on social media that you should be following to help you get your fitness journey started.

Krissy Cela

Krissy is one of the most popular fitness influencers on social media, and has explored some different fitness related entrepreneurial endeavors outside her instructional videos on Instagram and YouTube. Krissy posts full gym and at home workouts on her Instagram daily and also posts inspirational and motivational messages to help get your mind in the right place. She is also the creator of her own fitness app and recently launched her own activewear line. It seems like Krissy is just getting started with her career as a fitness influencer and we can all expect her to create even more with her platform.

Mari Llewellyn

Mari is another fitness influencer that is rising in popularity and is exploring more entrepreneurial opportunities. Mari both posts on her YouTube channel and her Instagram, talking about her workouts, daily routines and her journey to lose weight. Mari and her fiancé Greg have developed fitness guides and have also founded a supplement and nutrition company that sells products such as pre workout, whey protein, vitamins, and more. Her products come in many different delicious and unique flavors, and she seems to be putting out new products by the week.

Abby Pollock

If you like having science to back up changes to your routine or you want unique at-home workouts that will stimulate your muscles in a completely different way, Abby is a fitness influencer that you should certainly look into following. She has tons of videos on her YouTube as well about the science behind workouts, diets, and supplements and uses several studies to make her arguments. She also has tons of videos about vegan recipes and building muscle on a vegan diet. 

Massy Arias

If you want to balance your work life or life as a parent with your fitness journey, Massy is definitely one of the fitness influencers you should be following. Massy posts videos with at home workouts along with motivational photos and captions. She also owns her own supplement and nutrition company and sells whey and plant based protein powders, and ensures her products are safe for new moms. 

Bret Contreras

Known for his work to help women build muscle in their glutes, Bret is one of the most well known fitness influencers on social media. He invented the hip thrust and has created several products to help you build your glute muscles through weight lifting. He has also published books on the science behind his practices, along with owning his own gym called “Glute Lab”. Bret consistently posts workout videos with his clients and infographics about how to help you best build your glute muscles. 

Cat Meffan

If you’re not so interested in high intensity interval training or weight lifting, perhaps give yoga a try and check out Cat’s Instagram page. Cat is one of the many yoga fitness influencers on social media, and promotes the message that you should move your body in whatever feels most comfortable and good to you. She posts routines, along with simple photos of her performing poses to help her followers find their flow in yoga. 

Elle Edwards

If you’re looking for workouts that will help you build muscle right from home, Elle has some great content for you to check out. She almost exclusively posts low equipment, at home workouts for her followers to use. She also sometimes does a live workout on her Instagram profile as well. She also talks about managing her fitness while also doing work as a full time college student. Overall, she is a very motivational influencer and speaks to many college students with her content.

If you’re a beginner who’s just starting their fitness journey, Hayley is an excellent fitness influencer to follow. She posts very straight forward, yet very effective workouts for at home or at the gym.
