Hailing from New Zealand, Lorde is a singer-songwriter that deserves infinitely more recognition for all of her accomplishments in her short time in the industry thus far. Performing Coachella at the ripe age of 17 and writing her debut album at the age of 15 show just how much talent this young woman has in her. She has done a variety of charity work including supporting the Red Cross and charity auction site Charitybuzz. She has done amazing things in both her career and philanthropy-wise, and I’m sure this is just the start for her.
Solange recently released a new album, and it is incredible. She is an R&B/soul artist who happens to be related to Beyoncé, but stands in a league of her own, boasting impressive vocals and a massive amount of talent. This rap sensation deserves all the recognition she can get. Her hypersexualized lyrics are relatable to most of us deep down (even if we won’t admit it) and she is 100% unapologetically herself, which makes her all the more loveable. She is an open supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and is not afraid to stand up against racism every chance she gets. She truly is one of many female artists who deserve endless applause for her work both on and off the stage.
SZA is a remarkably talented artist who has such immensely powerful vocals that they really do speak for themselves.
