You might not even know what you have anymore, if you can’t see them all. To declutter your closet, try using desktop file containers to store your clutches! Most clutches are slim and will fit perfectly between the dividers. Not only will it protect them from damage (getting crushed or folded), but it also allows them to be displayed in a visually pleasing way! No more rummaging around and trying to find the perfect clutch.

2. Shower Curtain Rings For Belts

Belts do us a favor by keeping our pants from falling down and emphasizing our waist. So, do them a favor in return and store them properly in the closet! Start by going through your belts to make sure they are in good shape. Throw out any that don’t fit or have seen their better days. Then use shower rings to hang them from your closet rod! The ring is the perfect size to hook onto the rod and the belt buckle easily fits over the hook. Now you don’t have to worry about your belts getting smushed and taking on weird shapes.

Then make a hole on each end of the plank and take some twine or wire to create a hanger that hangs over the top of a hook. Attach the hook to the wall or over the back of a door. Now, all you have to do is use the clothes pins to hang your scarves in a visually pleasing way!

5. Woven Bins For Bulky Sweaters

Put your impulse buy of woven baskets to good use with this organization tip! Store all your bulky sweaters in them! It’s the perfect solution for seasonal storage issues. Fold the sweaters neatly to make sure they don’t take up any more space than necessary in the baskets. Then, simply put the baskets on the top shelf of your closet! The baskets can all match or vary to some degree, but try to keep the woven theme. When the season changes you can switch out the sweaters for summer clothes!

6. Shower Rod Shoe Shelf

Are your shoes just laying all over your closet floor? No judgement, but how about trying this tip to declutter your closet! Start, by looking at which shoes you actually want to keep and those that can be tossed out or donated. Then take shower rods (tension rods) and place them at various heights at the bottom of your closet. The idea is to create movable shelves to store your shoes on! You can fill the hanging organizer with all your bottoms (pants and skirts). This keeps them all in one place and also gets rid of the chunky pant hangers.
