Us

Us is one of the most popular horror movies of 2019, and for very good reason. It was directed by the award winning movie director and writer of Get Out, Jordan Peele. Us is the second installment of Jordan’s vision for horror thrillers which show the dark and exaggerated sides of modern society in a scary, fascinating, and intriguing manner.

In Us, you follow the life of Adelaide, a woman who is constantly haunted by an unresolved traumatic past. She is always paranoid, and fearful of future scenarios. After she spends a day with friends, Adelaide and her family discover four silhouettes standing on their vacation home driveway. The movie pits this American family against an unusual and terrifying opponents; as they have to face doppelgangers of themselves.

Zombieland: Double Tap

Zombieland Double Tap is not the horror movie you are used to watching. The film begins after a fight between Columbus and Witchita causes a rift in the once closely-knit family. The story follows the family’s adventures to mend the family and find Little Rock, who left after the big fight.

The group fights scary zombies along the way, learn new tricks, and are forced to adjust their tactics before they come across the renowned zombie hunter known as Nevada.

This film is lighter than the previously mentioned (in terms of raw scare power), but is just as interesting in its own way. You will thoroughly enjoy watching it, and will always edge to your seat to find out what happens next. The story closes really well, and might even make you become the biggest fan of horror thrillers!

Annabelle Comes Home

Another sequel to the world famous Annabelle series, Annabelle Comes Home dives right into the story of the mysteriously haunted doll, Annabelle. Ed and Lorraine Warren do their utter best to prevent Annabelle from causing more destruction, bringing the cursed doll to a locked room in their home and placing her behind sacred glass (after a priest’s blessing).

This turns out horribly, as Annabelle awakens all the evil spirits in the artifact room, and they form an unexpected new target, the 10 year old daughter of the Warrens, and her friends!
