There are a lot of brands out there that still actively speak out against LGBTQ+ rights. As disheartening as that is there are companies that not only support the LGBTQ+ community but they are also very vocal about it. Below is a list of brands to support when looking for pride gear this year or in general.
Levi is a brand that proudly supports the LGBTQ+ community. Over the past few years they have partnered with a variety of campaigns that strive to better and help the LGBTQ+ community. For instance a few years back they came out with a shirt that on the back told the history of the gay rights movement right up to the equality in marriage. On the front it pays homage to the late Harvey Milk, who was a pioneering politician who was openly gay in San Fransisco. Sadly Milk was gunned down by a colleague but despite that his legacy lives on and brands like Levi makes sure he isn’t forgotten through their supportive pride gear. The next time you want a great pair of jeans or denim anything consider shopping through this brand that supports everyones rights.
Target has faced backlash for their blatant display of support for the LGBTQ+ community through campaigns and pride gear. Despite people threatening to boycott and discontinue shopping there all together Target has stood its ground. They’ve incorporated same-sex couples in a variety of campaigns both commercially and in their own stores. Their support isn’t just through marketing either, Target is known as a company that proudly hires a diverse array of staff. This is a company that doesn’t just care about their shoppers they also care about their employees, which is refreshing when it comes to retail.
