15 Amazing Destinations To Travel To After Quarantine

You know, 2020 was supposed to be the year that we finally went out and started checking off life goals and dreams. This was going to be the year we finally went out for nights on the town, traveled to new regions and lived our best lives. We made a promise to ourselves that this year was for saving up our paychecks for exploring the world, for treating ourselves to an adventure and new experiences.

Fast forward to May of 2020, not even halfway through the year, and a worldwide pandemic erased spring break vacations, canceled the entire summer, and any plans to travel in the future have seemed to get dimmer by the day. Nowadays its even dangerous to make the drive over to see our grandparents.

With our spring and summer breaks shut down, many of us are yearning for a chance to get away from our bedrooms, and when the time finally comes for safer traveling, these are 15 amazing destinations you should consider for vacation!

1. Australia

Let’s kick off this list of amazing destinations with the great country/continent of Australia!

Australia gives you the best of both world with wild and metropolitan exploring. We may know the country best for its great outback region, but cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast (shown below) just to name a few have more than its fair share of zoos, swimming and amusement parks, ocean views, souvenir stores and much more!

There’s so many things to do in Australia that’ll make the long flight over the Pacific well worth it!

2. Bora Bora

You will never ever get bored of Bora Bora!

Bora Bora is a small island that’s much less populated than many of our hometowns, but the attractive ocean sights are ones that very few places in the world can match. Its a great place to snorkel, shop for souvenirs and really just flat out relax!

3. Brazil, South America

There are some interesting and exotic places to travel to in South America, but the country of Brazil is one of the most amazing destinations among them!

With major cities like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (which hosted the last summer Olympics in 2016), Brazil has plenty of things to offer its tourists. If you love nature, the largest range of tropical rainforests are found in Brazil, and the country hosts Iguazu Falls, which is a wider and taller waterfall than Niagara. And oh yea, there’s the famous Christ The Redeemer statue (as seen below) to check out, too!

4. Cancun, Mexico

A hugely popular summer getaway spot, Cancun is one of the most amazing destinations in the world!

Located on the coast of southeast Mexico, Cancun has some glorious downtown area full of shops, clubs and other spots tourists love, and a beach and ocean view so perfect you’d have to see it to believe!

5. Chicago, Illinois (USA)

This one may be much closer to home, but make no mistake about it, Chicago is an amazing destination at any time of year!

There are a few things you simply must do when visiting Chi town: take a stroll through Millennium Park, enjoy life at the Navy Pier, take a pic by the famous Cloud Gate silver bean, tour the Art Institute of Chicago, and you absolutely need to get a slice of Chicago-style deep dish pizza during your stay!

6. Denver, Colorado (USA)

From one US city to another, Denver is another amazing destination for those looking to get away!

The Mile High City is known its breathtaking mountain views, but its downtown area has a lot to offer, too. And might I add that marijuana is legal in Colorado, and there are countless dispensaries and weed bakeries to explore and get your buzz on at elevated altitudes!

7. Europe

Look, there are so many amazing destinations on this one continent that I had to leave this one a little broad.

Europe has a handful of countries that offer SO much to offer all incoming tourists. So many iconic and mesmerizing structures and statues, buildings and monuments to explore like the Colosseum in Italy, the Acropolis of Athens in Greece and the Eifel Tower in France (see below) just to name a slim few. With other countries like the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden among the great bunch, you can’t go wrong stopping anywhere on the continent of Europe!

8. Honolulu, Hawaii (USA)

Probably the most exotic and one of the most amazing destinations for vacationers staying in the US have to check out the island of Honolulu!

Honolulu, Hawaii is super cool because although it is one of the states in America, it has a totally unique cultural feel. The weather will never be an issue in Honolulu, and there’s more than enough ocean to snorkel in and souvenir and antique shops to check out!

Of course, you can’t leave Honolulu without seeing one of the United States’ most famous military memorials; Pearl Harbor.

Looking for more beach views? Look no further than the Caribbean Island of Jamaica!

Jamaica does obviously showcase some gorgeous sights from the shores of its beaches, but attractions like the Dunn’s River Falls (seen below) and the Bob Marley museum are definitely places you should stop by and give a look.

And if you’re getting ready to tie the knot and want to make it a moment you’ll never forget, Jamaica is one of the most popular exotic wedding locations in the world!

The casino capital of the world, Las Vegas is one of the best places on this list if you’re looking to enjoy a wild night life!

12. Maui, Hawaii (USA)

I’ve mentioned Honolulu already, but there’s more than one island that make up the great state of Hawaii!

If you’re planning a trip to this tropical state, also consider the island of Maui. This island has perhaps a much more scenic feel compared to the much more populated island of Honolulu. With spots like little beach, big beach (yes, these are their real names), and Makena Cove (shown below), soak in all the beauties that Maui has to offer!

13. Miami, Florida (USA)

We’ve stopped in the Midwest, we’ve stopped on the west coast, but if you’re traveling down south, an amazing destination to check out is the city of Miami!

South Beach is what usually comes to mind when we think Miami, but the city has plenty more in store. Places like the Venetian Pool, the Miami Seaquarium and the Lincoln Road Mall are must see locations in this extremely fascinating and multicultural American city!

14. New York City, New York (USA)

I couldn’t go without mentioning the east coast, and I can’t make a list of amazing destinations without mentioning the city that never sleeps!

New York City, the Big Apple, is the largest city in America and has a plethora of attractions that you’ll enjoy. There’s the magnificence of the Statue of Liberty. There’s the skyscraping beauty of the Empire State Building. There’s the bustling and bright lights of Broadway in Times Square. And somewhere in the heart of the city, a plush green oasis that is Central Park.

15. Puerto Rico, Caribbean Islands

Last on this list of amazing destinations is a more well known and arguably more popular Caribbean island.

This country has an old Spanish influence, and in the city of San Juan, colorful buildings hundreds of years old can be seen and explored in the heart of the city, and the El Morro fort, an old military defense base. If you’re into thrills, the Toro Verde Adventure Park will have your heart racing on its zipline ride, which happens to be the longest in the world!

I’ll bet you’re wishing you were on one of these islands or in one of these cities right about now, huh? Soon my friend, soon.
